Since you know all about paint and claying, would appreciate it if you could tell me about the type paint that is on my 2007 Buick CXL V8 which is supposedly a "special paint" with the name, sharkskin. Would like to know if it really is just paint and a clearcoat or is it really supposed to be a better paint, since it was an add on extra. I have tried to read on all the forums and have seen nothing on it. It would help if I knew if it was the extra hard clearcoat, soft, or ?? I know from feeling of the paint and reading your article that it needs claying because the surface feels rough even though it doesn't look that way. Old and retired but a newbie at detailing. Have a new PC and an assortment of pads for when the paint is ready to be finished after claying. Thanks in advance for any help.
