I've had the Hitachi for a couple years now and love it. The warranty can't be beat on it either.

Well, I would have a dynabrade right now if I didnt have to wait on the manufacturer to mine the iron ore to make the @#%! thing. So, I gave up and found a nice price on a Makita =) Should be here next tuesday!!!

Everything happens for a reason. You were meant to have a Makita...Where did you buy it ? and did you get the kit ?...:applause:

Buddy..you'll laugh your ass off at the piece of shit that I use right now. It's made by Coleman (how's that for a trusted name in car detailing, LOL) that I bought at XS Cargo for like $30.00. But it has a trigger lock and goes from 1000 to 2000 rpm. It's not too heavy, either. I also have an old fixed speed unit (2300 prm) that I hardly ever use anymore. I want one that turns slower but with power. That's why I am leaning towards the Makita due to having 10 amps vs 8. The weight does not bother me; I can lean on it if I have to :)

Would you mind sharing where you got a good deal on it? I found after a very quick search that Amazon had the best pricing on them. AG's got a hell of a sale on right now though.

You're right LOL I have an old B&D that is fixed @ 2400RPM. A Snap-On Thats from 1000 to 3000 RPM. @ Makita's 9227C (1) I got new 6 months ago. The other I just got now Instead of a lighter one. still in the market though for the lighter one...

richy. IMHO you will never have to lean on the Makita that much...The thing that is interesting is that you can apply like you do on a PC @ the 600 RPM. It is this thats makes the Makita a vesatile machine. When I started looking around for new waxes. I found that they where directed toward the PC as far as appication was concerned. It is like the best of both worlds. Thats why I bought my second new Makita. I always wanted to say this but I didn't want people to think I was crazy. Your timming was perfect I only have to take 50% of the blame...I thank you for that...Thanks, Your friend Buddy...:thumb:
