    Phil,

The run was a huge success. Well over 100 cars showed up. Your prizes were a huge hit. A gentleman (I'm horrible with names...) with a new gen silver S6 won it, and I had the pleasure of explaining the purpose of each and every product. He was very intrigued to say the least.

Joey and the rest of the guys and girls were very thankful! :applause::applause2::worship2:

Absolute Automotive - guy's name is Evan. AWD Mustang dyno, the whole thing...Evan was very good to me. He was very helpful. SUPER powerful car...drag slick launch. It took off like a bottle rocket...sounded like a jet engine. Impossibly fast. It was almost hard to believe.

I'll let you know when everyone's photos are posted up. I forgot my camera like an idiot so...:doh:

There were all sorts of nice cars there.

S4, RS4, S6, R8, e46 and e92 M3s a-plenty, 350/370z, EVOs, Subies, even a Saab heh. Also had some Z06s, a Prowler, some Mustangs/Cobras, and just too many different cars to name...it was an awesome turnout.

I should clarify - Evan (Absolute Automotive) is the name of the guy/place that fixed all the stuff that was wrong with mine. I don't know the name of the place that did the conversion to begin with, but Evan's guess is that mine was the "first" S4 the guy tried. Evan's car is dark blue, actually a little ratty looking, but if you get in it...watch the heck out. It's impossibly fast. Feels like you're in a cartoon.

Evan once said to me something like "I'd rather work on B5 S4s all day, but the street car business keeps the lights turned on and the bills paid." Something along those lines. I guess he's one of those guys that nobody's ever heard of who happens to know a lot about S4s. Cameron Conover, who makes a living building stuff like Spec Miatas and ITB Golfs, referred me to him.

Me, I'm actually very mechanical - built and maintained my own road race car, for years - but that S4 intimidated the hell out of me. I'd open the hood and see "a bunch of stuff" and not know what any of it did. I was afraid I'd just make it worse. There were wires and lines all over the place, and it was witchcraft to me.

I've actually still got boxes and boxes of extra S4 stuff - the spare room is full of S4 "stuff." I should put it all on Craigslist or something, I just keep forgetting to. Spare ECUs, wheels, spare short shifters, all the stuff that the guy I bought the car from decided he didn't like. He kept everything. I've even got the Canada model grill inserts - which delete the fog lights, and get more air onto the side mount intercoolers. There's probably thousands of dollars worth of spare interior stuff, just because everything had to be perfect. A-pillar upholstery, ashtrays, cupholders...all sorts of stuff.

    Dood,

You need to post that stuff in the classifieds on quattroworld.com. (Audiworld is pretty much dead now...)
