Also wondering how big the bottles are, looks like 32 oz bottles in the picture.
they are 32 oz bottles.
Hey Phil, just curious...why does everyone keep referring to the Fine Abrasive Paste as 5/5 when it says 5/3 on the bottle?
You are referring to Sonax's cut/gloss rating, correct?
must....resist...Looks like some great stuff there. Wow is all I can say at the results!
Because the 5/5 is what we have been testing for the last year. They will rename is 5/3 when it comes to the USA.
Phil ... what would you compare them to? M105/M205 combo.
How long is the working time? SMAT or DAT?
Really interested. I have been using Sonax Perfect Finish as a final polish. I like the fact that it barely dusts, but it's a PITA to remove from pads & it gunks them up really fast (2-3 sectional passes).
these will not gunk up.
I would say they fit more in the PF2500 - D300 - SF4000 and SF4500 range
Any personal comparisons you can share from your use (M105 / M205?). I'm going to get on the waiting list either way but it would be interesting to know.
I like it much better than M205. I believe M105 still has a bit more cut, but 5/5 will finish down better than most med polish/light compounds.
I can one step with Fine Abrasive and finish it down as well with an easy swap of a pad.
This is awesome. I have yet to try these out but n.a. y others have had them opportunity to do so. I may have to pick some up.
they are great polishes to add to your detail box.
Just curious when your supposed to have this in Phil.
Phil, I got to check out the polishes and perfect finish today at sema and they are top notch!! They all said they wish you could've made it but the weather was jacked .
looks like Dec from last I spoke with Sonax.
yup would have loved to make it, I believe the airport is still closed, it sucks but it was meant to be that I was back here with family. trying to get my office on a generator tomorrow
Sorry to hear that man, btw I got to check out both of the polishes today and they are top notch!
Phil, how dusty is the nano polish in comparison to a comparable menzerna polish? How easy is it to remove ( same comparison)?
for the most part the dusting is very very minimal. we have only had issues with the 3/6 and 5/5 on GTR paint and a few of the FRS and BRZ. but what polish works well on those LOL.
most of the German cars used the Sonax on worked very well.
Cool, thanks Phil! I guess I'll get on the list then.
I got a load of Sonax today: 5l power wash(tfr), 5l power + (petroleum based degreaser, tar remover), 25 cl fine scratch remover, paint prepare( to be used with coatings) and a Sonax drying towel. The last order was 5 l extreme wheel cleaner, Sonax Perfect finish, Sonax polymer netshield.
I had some problem with the nano polish when I first got it a couple of years ago but the more I use the more I like it.
Phil: how do you like the netshield and have you tried any Sonax coating?
