    Emile Welcome to Detailing

I just got my order in tonight, got the CQuartz Sample Kit thingy and a 400mL ReLoad! I am more psyched about the ReLoad spray sealant.

A full piece of paper with directions is included with the kit. Directions say to polish and clay if necessary, and then wipe down the paint with IPA 1:1 as the paint needs to be free and clear of any wax/sealant/oils/etc. just bare paint.

Then apply the CQuartz, let it dry for 10 minutes, then wipe down with MF, and then let cure for 12 hours. I would imagine that if you want to layer the product, you would have to do it immediately after the cure time, no driving the vehicle or QDing or anything.

Emile, updated info has arisen due to cold temp testing. A cure time of between 1 and 3 hours is recommended depending on the temperature. (50 degrees or so let it cure for 3 hours prior to 2nd coat). Also, do not remove it for about 20 minutes or even up to 30 minutes if the temp is lower. This is not a product you want to apply in your driveway if the temp is just barely above freezing. A minimum of 50 degrees will work much better. The cleaner the surface, the better. A 90/10 mix of IPA/Dawn is recommended to remove all oils which may still be on the surface. Any other questions, pls let me know.

Are you guys putting the IPA in a spray bottle with the Dawn? I will probably do this as well.

I might be interested in this as I take my truck offroading and those little branches can make marks. This might help.

Misha, pics would help. How long did you let it dry/cure before wiping it off? It should wipe off clean and clear. Did you clean the surface with IPA? Did you add a bit of Dawn to it like what's being advised? I don't know if a 2nd coat will help or not; I suspect not. Post the pics and I'll have Avi take a look and advise you. I've only used it a few times myself. The colder temps require longer dry and cure time.
