    thanks phil

yeah i definitely overdid it on the amount i used. its just a habit of mine to coat the wheel in cleaner for some reason. i dont doubt at all that the stuff would work just as well with a fraction of the amount i used.

Well if you want to use any wheel cleaner as a touch-less cleaner, you're gonna have to coat the entire wheel in cleaner...it's the only draw-back for not having to get down on your knees and scrub manually.

The problem(if you look at it like that) with pH neutral cleaners, regardless of how they work, is they require agitation on anywheel that has had a chance to sit with brake dust on it even for only a week.

I don't doubt Phils claims of not having able to touch them, but having used this cleaner before I can confidently say that while it is as effective as P21S, it still requires agitation. Any time break dust of any significance is allowed to sit and bond basically, it requires agitation with any typically "safe" cleaner.

Acidic cleaners that chemically work against the mild galvanic corrosion(the stuff we cant see with our eyes) are the only chemicals that are typically "no touch" and even they require agitation sometimes. Alkaline cleaners are the same as well, still work with agitation.

hey all if you have a pressure washer use it on this application. you will get much close to no brushing than anything else out there (that's this safe)

we have used them on a set of 23 inch HRE's and its super safe, to some really nasty typical German car brake dust and trust me its good stuff.

Just picked up three bottles of this stuff. I am going to try it on the insides of my wheels which have close to 20000 miles of baked on gunk

[SONAX Wheel Cleaner contains unique chemical ingredients that effectively dissolve the sintered iron by forming a water soluble iron complex.] Detailers Domain

The best of both worlds; the cleaning power of an acid wheel cleaner with a (safe) pH of 7.0 by using a Neutralised Acid Salt Neutralization is the reaction between an acid and a base (alkaline) producing a salt and neutralized base; common examples include acetic acid and sulphuric acid (the red colour is a chemical reaction with iron or metal particles)
