Chrome Polish Help

so i've got a harley lined up, which im probably going to do this coming weekend. its black and dripping in chrome. i've been using the 1Z Chrome and Metal Polish for a while now, and am almost out, and would like to save what i have left for my own car since no one sells it anymore. i was thinking about going back to P21S Polishing Soap maybe, not sure. really want to give the chrome on this bike some serious POP. recommendations? anything new out there that i just HAVE to try?

 

You HAVE to get some Blackfire all metal sealant. Use the P21S polishing soap when washing. The Raceglaze Chrome polish will make it pop like crazy and it has NO abrasive in it to scratch chrome. Top with the Blackfire Metal Sealant for a really deeeeeeep looking chrome. I'll try to find a few pics of a 50 Caddy Convertible I did recently. Lots o chrome.

 

thanks for the advice ken! i would order the stuff from you with the other items i had mentioned to you in my PM last night, but i need the stuff by this weekend for the bike :shead:. so you're recommending using the P21S soap on the chrome WHILE im washing the bike? im planning on ONR washing it, and i was thinking about using the polishing soap on the chrome first, then ONR washing to remove the residue. then maybe the raceglaze polishing then blackfire sealant, hypothetically?

what do you think about just using either the P21S polishing soap OR a comparable chrome polish then just sealing it with maybe jetseal or blackfire wet diamond?

should i do most of the chrome polishing first before i ONR wash since there is so much chrome and there will be a lot of dirty chrome polish residue?

sorry for all the questions, its just i've never detailed a motorcycle before...

 

Opt Metal Polish is a great all around metal polish, and looks great when used on chrome.

Also leaves a bit of protection behind.

Yes, it does leave a bit of protection behind. Phil has it for a great price also, and add that to the current sale and might as well.

 

thanks, i'll have to consider getting the optimum stuff in conjunction with the P21S polishing soap.

P21S, ONR and then seal with Blackfire All Metal Sealant. Order it from Clasic Motoring tonight and you should get it in time. It doesn't leave chrome really shiny like a sealant, just deep and cool looking. Clarke at PB uses it on his Subie exhaust tips and says it lasts 3-4 months. I wouldn't finish chrome with anything else.

Deep finish chrome polish

 

Read about Deep Finish a year or so ago when they were on a Ferrari forum I was on, never tried any of there products but always wondered if they had anything worth while.

Yeah that is the company I am taking about. A sponger of Ferrari Chat carries deep finish and wondered how well the products were.

their chrome polish is off the chain!!! looks like chocolate pudding... but leave an awesome blue hue to the chrome and gives an outstanding shine

 

i just ordered another tube, and have a bottle of opt polish on the way

 

Opt stuff is amazing like I said, will have to get some deep finish once I am done with Opt.

 

just get it now... $18 shipped. its only good for chrome.

Hands down the best chrome polish I've ever used. It leaves an amazing shine and adds some protection.

I bought a jar about a year ago when there was some buzz about the product line on the detailing forums and I'm REAL glad I did. The chrome bits on my car have never looked better.

 

Since you said you needed it right away. why don't you try at a store where they sell lots of fancy wheels. You know 22" 23" 24" 26" wheels. i would recommend two products.

Extreem wheel polish.

Lusters wheel polish.

Both of these products are very easy to use and they both polish different kinds of metals with very good results. i think both of these products are way better than mothers and megs polishes.
