I feel your pain... I own an 09 avalanche myself and it is the motivation behind us testing some different trim dressings to go along side our VRT. Though I absolutely love VRT its drawback is the fact that it runs when I get rained on (water based curse) The only way I've been able to counteract it is to dillute the VRT mixture to start and do a wipe down with a dry towel afterwards to 'knock down' the dressing on the surface. Its a shame it just not more durable b/c I love the look.

Does a decent job, but its not ideal... new products coming.

More info? I would definitely like to check into it.

I like the G1 trim sealent I charge about 80 to apply it to something with that much trim and it should last for around 1-2 yrs of abuse

damn, that's some impressive stuff. gtechniq looks like some amazing products, if they are true to their description.

Thinking out loud here... If I remember right, RBOE is good for plastics... And what about KAIO?

Let me know how it works pektel. I'm going to be detailing my fathers avalanche sometime this spring. Been wondering about all the plastic trim as well...

any final word on this guys? my father is looking for more of a "permanent" solutioin, IE trim dye or some kind of trim sealant like the Gtechniq stuff maybe.

bryan, how long does an application of the showroom new stuff last?

Jury's still out on the ultima. The guy canceled on me. So as soon as I get a car with some black plastic trim to try it on, I'll let you know! It does work very well on the lower sections of my LS, but that is hardly any plastic.

Future floor wax. Works like a champ!! Actually it's more like a sealer. It is clear like water and availible at HD. Have done Avalances before and it will last for months. Doesn't run or anything.
