I've actually never ordered anything from CG if you can believe that. I mainly stick with Detailer's Domain and a few other for some odds and ends, such as Detailer's Paradise and Excel Detail. Wow, those shipping rates are off the hook!!!

 

The last order i placed with them actually never shipped out after 1 week...i placed my order with paul over the phone and apparently it never left the warehouse....He said he would reship and call him when it got there..he apologized and threw in a couple extra goodies....although this service was good after the messup...that shipping charge is just too much, the order was big enough for them to give you a bit of a break...AG has free shipping over 75.00...they should at least do something for you...good luck

I messed around on there website and found out to ship one 1 gallon container is $17.50 .Thats crazy!Maybe they will change there shipping carrier and get better rates for you guys who use there stuff.

 

I got a chuckle out of this thread. The other day I wanted to order a gallon of mf wash and was comparing the price to the CG product vs the new DP one at AG. The cost was within pennies, but the shipping at CG was outrageous. I added a few goodies to my AG order and got free shipping using the AG code. they need to look at this as a company. This many negative experiences is not a good thing.:gasp:

 

it is outrageous... Fedex suck anyways for shipping.. i trust USPS for my shipping.. very convenient..

 

40+ pounds all the way across country... shipping is what it is.

I can't say it's CG's fault... sure maybe UPS or USPS might be a little cheaper, but still what do you expect?

Plus it's at least 2 large style boxes...

 

Also the FedEx truck doesn't get to my house till like 7, not that big of a deal but to me I can't stand it. The school day goes by so much slower when I know I'm getting a package haha

 

just chimming in, i called CG and placed an order and was told it would not hit for two days because they were waiting for a product-ok cool np- called back next day to change and add to my order paul said it was already sent out _SWEET_ called 5 days later to get tracking number and he looked it up on computer and said that it just shipped and will be another 3-5 days and he would email me tracking number.....

never got email and this seems a little wierd to me like this is a business based from home. and that 310 number is a cell number?

I don't think it is. When I called a young lady answered and in the background there were a few people that sounded like they were taking orders as well. Maybe CG just doesn't have a toll free line.

 

Even though CG shipping isn't the quickest, I feel that their products are priced correctly. Even if I have to pay a little more for shipping, in the end, it's not a bad deal.

But I am more closely looking at Duragloss since I can get it locally at Carquest...

 

that is horrible. They are charging so much for shipping, like it's being shipped from Europe...

 

Heres what Paul had to say:

1. New shipping warehouse is being setup to handle the 1500 orders they get a day. (This will reduce lead time in the future and eliminate the tracking number issues)

2. Shipping prices have gone up, on top of that CG is not used to doing residential deliveries as most of their business requires freight.
(They are still working on it)

3. Prices of materials went up 20% but they are not changing their prices. Big rise on MF towels.

4. Call Paul with any problems and he will try to help if possible.

you just hit bullseye.. they never seem to email back.. which i think its not right.. i mean all they have to do is just say sorry and we dont even get that...

 

i agree its not their fault.. maybe they just need some change in the system or the carrier cause a lot of companies offer free shipping with a certain amount of purchase but im not trying to get free shipping here, just want something reduce or reasonable for us who constantly buy stuff...

P1et..... it is true their product is priced good and I have no complains about it..

 

My friend just placed an order for one 16oz bottle of product and it was 10.75 for the shipping(ouch).

 

I was going to order some buffing pads (the sonus look-alikes) and some gallons of CW+G and some others, shipping was literally twice what ADS and TOL wanted for nearly the same size orders. ADS got my business and shipped 24 pounds for only 11.95, CG wanted almost 13.00 to ship just a gallon of soap! Thats almost the coast of the actual product - outrageous, IMHO.

I have been wanting to get some CW+G too along with some other offerings, but can not justify that shipping cost either.
