You guys are lucky to have dealer cars that allow you to do them so quickly and with such light cleaning. Every car we did received and needed a "complete detail" with up to two basic buffing steps. No 2-buckets / steamers / wax / sealant / foamers. We stuck to the basics and tried reducing costs and "touch time" wherever possible.
I deal with 1 high end dealer on a regular basis. Traded in vehicles always need a lot of work, its the bi-weekly maintenance that is smooth sailing.
They do? I've never heard of a dealer agreeing to any kind of contract. Define "Bi-Weekly Maintenance" Are you referring to washing cars or detailing them?
Every other week we detail the entire inventory. I guess its either a really long wash, or a short detail depending how you look at it. Every car goes through this process Foamed Hand washed Dried Trim/Tires dressed Spray Sealant(blitz/dg105/z8) Interior is vacuumed, any spots are cleaned. Its pretty much a maintenance wash. We basically tailored our maintenance plan to a dealership. Seems my dealership experience is a bit different than others.
You make a number of passes and after it starts to go clear, just buff it right off and go to your LSP. D151+Collinite 845 = bullet proof, months and months of protection and it looks great.
thanks for your response on how to use the meg's 151 with collinite. definately going to try using that combo, and will still take a look at klasse AIO, but have another question. what do I do with different types of clears that want a one step product like this? say I have a honda with soft paint, am I going to use this product on my flex 3401 with a 7.5 inch LC green or white pad? I am thinking the white pad along with the power of the flex should be more then enough. now about bout a clear found on audi or bmw or merc. had a merc this past summer and nearly broke my back because the clear took so freakin long to correct. it was rock hard. with the hard clears I am thinking of going with an orange pad and if this 151 is that good then it should do it? so basically what I am saying is with different clears use the same product just change out the density of the foam pads? if it is this easy and is as fast as all of you say I should be on to make alot of business soon. also, how long would it take you to use this product on say a dodge neon? how long would it take for a suv like a navigator? thanks again for all of the input everyone, hopefully others read this and pick up on new tricks as well godoman
