BTW great job on that black Chev. Goes to show you that its all in the prep. LSP has very little to do with the end results.
Gdal; Thanks!! Yes it was corrected with Menzerna 106 and yellow sonus foam pad V1, have to give 1 pass at 900 rpm and 2 or 3 passes at 1200 rpm and then go back to 700rpm for one more pass to correct it and the hood was used Buff Lite II and 106 since was in really bad shape also neet to mention that the car has been resprayed 45 days before we detailed Billy
NO bubble burst at all every one has the right to his own opinion but we have to compare oranges to oranges and apples to apples also happens that mayhem and chaos both have polymers, chaos more than mayhem actually i believed that mayhem its very close to Vic collectors but has more water sheeting than beading so u can not compare the beading between Mayhem and Vintage u only can compare which one looks better in ur eyes since to me waxes its totally a personal preference and wouldn't be fare comparing a wax under U$50 to a wax over U$1000 but again its just my personal opinion Billy Again Vintage will be hard to beat (my all time favorite wax ) u have to compare similar range waxesbut again just my :2cents: Legacy99 any wax well applied will last more than 2 weeks onec again its just my IMHO
Legacy99; Again when u do a mayor correction detail ur right LSP plays a minor role but when u do a one stage detail waxes with no refining process they have a big role on the detail IMHO
Nice work, teacher! The more I see the pictures of your jobs the happier I get because everything I know you taught me.
I understand your point, but to be fair, all Vics waxes come with instuctions to layer at least two to three coats fo best results. David said three coats of Mayhem will last around six months.
Lil' Chevy looks excellent! Yes, the Vic twins look fantastic, but in my experience their durability is good. On my old Camry they are starting their 3rd month now and lost their beading on the exposed "splash" areas, aka behind the wheel wells. And 2.5 months with a carnauba says something as my car is famous for killing LSPs quickly. For example ZFX'd Z2ProĆ3/Z8 lasted only 4 months on it... You just have to factor in Hungary's dirty rain, diesel fumes and wonderfully clingy road film and you have a nice juice, which eats away LSPs in fast forward mode.
