    Dougs steam Virgin Detailer

    Guys,

I have used the Carmen on the exterior. But first let me explain, as I am no expert, nor am I a car detailer. I started a cleaning business 5 months ago. I do gum removal, tile and grout cleaning, etc.

I have used my Carmen on the exterior of my vehicles. I clipped a MF to the triangle tool, and used only steam. From my limited experience, it worked great. If the vehicle is quite dirty, you will need to go over it twice. It does come out very clean. Again, I don't know how this will affect a car with a quality wax job. From what I've heard, there are no drawbacks, but I can't speak from experience.

Two obvious benefits of using steam on the exterior; minimal water usage, it uses about a gallon of water an hour. As a result, you have no runoff issues. The steam is a dry vapor, about 5 to 7 % moisture. Therefore, drying time is almost zero.

I hope this helps. I look forward to learning a lot about car detailing on this forum. Thanks for "listening."
