    Oh no it's coming back!!

Washed, Adams hand polish, turtle wax premium grade rubbing compound, then meguiars ultimate compound. Then washed and Adams polish again and meguiars good class wax.

This isn't my car it's a friends. Help? This is the exact way he did it. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1355187400.375373.jpg

Did you do an IPA wipedown after any of those steps? I'm sure the wax didn't bond properly especially after using all those polishes/compounds. If in that order, you definitely did it wrong as well. If your going to use a compound, always follow it up with finer polishes. Adams should have been the last step to use before waxing (if the polish was mildly abrasive). And why did you use two compounds? It was unnecessary to do so. What I see in the picture looks like premature clearcoat failure. Probably better to use a glaze/filler polish at this point (but don't quote me on that) and seal it up with opti-coat as others said.

When you washed it, did it bead at all? polishes tend to have oils in them so its best to do an ipa wipedown or use a carpro eraser so that the surface is clean. Hope this helps....

And also, save yourself the headache and get a DA polisher. You will go crazy trying to correct that by hand....

Yeah my neighbor isn't exactly the brightest on this stuff. He was also using metal cleaner on it. Kind of an idiot. I'm just trying to be a good friend and help him out a little.

    JoeyV Welcome to Detailing

    Process:

    Compound
    Polish
    Fine polish
    Wash with sunlight soap
    IPA wipe down
Application of quality LSP, Gold Class is nice, but doesn't last more than a few days. Get some Opti-Coat or Wolf's Hard Body.

"its coming back" are you sure it was gone to begin with? I agree, get a DA................ some issues cannot be totally resolved by hand, as hard as you try.

I had this issue with a Siebon hood, you really have to work at it with a machine. And honestly, get the right products for the job and your results will be 10 fold.
