I have name dropped a few products to people on a forum i visit and some actually got it and said they loved it and some were on my case saying why would i spend X when i could get this for Y. But all i said was if you happy with what you using use it but what i am suggesting is better and will get you better results cheaper and faster. Cheaper because 1. you waste less of your time, 2. you actually use less product.

I remember when I would use a cheap wheel cleaner or a carpet cleaner it would take multiple passes to get it clean, but once i got a good cleaner, yeah it cost $5 more or something small like that but it cleaned it the first time. I just suggest products or places to get better educated and let others follow or learn if they like, if they dont want advice then they dont need to take it and can have a swirled up car while mine is nice and clean. I guess to me its just something I dont want to waste time by is trying to convince others to come to the good side ha.

But for some an OTC car care product will "do just as well" ; it takes time to become an obsesive compulsive detailer (OCD)

 

perphaps you can offer him your services? Seriously, maybe after a detail or two he will understand...

 

Well I feel your pain, I have friends and family members that make fun of me on how much I spent on Polishing compound and Waxes like i'm a nut job, once I do their cars they always change their minds, and start defending my cause LOL.

 

You should be happy that they are at least washing their cars.... Some people have a hard time to even do that!

 

Yeah, I know. I'm getting to the point now where I see imperfections in every single car I look at and think of ways to correct them.

togwt - I have read many of your articles and your information has helped me to understand how and why products work. The people I am mostly frustrated with are the ones who tell me Turtle Wax Ice Liquid Clay Bar is just as good as a real clay bar and that they get the same results I do with Nu Finish. These are the people that frustrate me..lol. I see you live in Ponte Vedra. I lived there for about 3 years and Jax Beach for quite a while before moving to Seattle.
