Cant Wait for Spring Rant

im so over this winter right now. we've had some kind of crazy winter storm every week for the past 4 or 5 weeks up here in the north east. worst season i can remember honestly. the roads suck, theres like 2 feet of snow minimum covered with a thick coating of ice everywhere. potholes galore from the plows. road salt, sand, brine....my cars filthy. its scratched to high hell because my girlfriends mom did me a favor and brushed the snow off of it a while ago with a plastic bristled broom. hell it seems like we havent seen the sun in weeks. and i've got an assload of new products and equipment i cant wait to use. at this rate, i wont even be able to wash my car til spring. there's no point when we're getting blasted with a major storm every freakin week.

has anyone else just about had it?

Yeah, its a pain to wash, then 3 days later... your a the same point. I gave up, so time to stock up on goodies and then use them when spring comes

Billy, you need to move to California, serioudly dude...Seems like PA weather is pissing the f*** out of you...you know, it's 73 degrees outside, no rain, just light wind...feels very nice...although we do suffer from heat during summer, humidity is low, and it doesn't hurt as much...

 

i can only look @ porn for so long. i could wax / polish / clean my car all day.

Yeah, its a nice 63 today. has not rained in over a week in Cen California. I actually have to drive 2 hours if I want to see snow.

But I hear all the horrible living conditions in the midwest and east coast and it makes me happy for the 112 degree heat, thats the worst I have to deal with Im ok.

lol. gotta admit im not really into porn at all. i think its kinda funny actually.

to be honest, i could never see myself moving to cali. id rather relocate to FLA or arizona or something. your states gun laws suck, and thats a big deal for me. there's a strong chance that the career im going for would require me to relocate, so im just hoping its a warmer climate with limited chance of natural disaster, lol. but you're right, the "off" seasons here are starting to bother me. cant say id miss snow much.

 

I have an indoor wash bay at work but I won't really use any of their chemicals, so I have to bring my own. Something about using the soap solution that was used all day doesn't seem enticing.

 

i just finished a maintenance wash on my GLK but boy the water was like 3~4c and the wash wool pads carrys lots of water so as i glide across the body, my hands keeps on getting frozen up lol
and it seems that these past 3 weeks or so has incurred a new scratch on my back bumper from somewhere sigh. I need it to get warmer so i can do a correction job.

 

Thank you, atleast other people outside of California think our gun laws stink.
My other hobby is Firearms and man its a PITA to buy certain weapons and such. Thank god I have aces to my parents ranch land where I can shoot away from prying eyes.

If you ever get a chance to see the ASW ban/ law it makes absolutley NO sense, it just punishes the law abiding citizens and does nothing to deter gun violence.

Man you dont even know the half of it, the ASW ban/law makes no sense whatsoever. It does nothing to deter gun violence other then punish the law abiding citzens.
If my wife was not so rooted here, I would have moved to Arizona or Oregon where the government is not bankrupt. Firearms are my other passion, and hobby. Even being Ex LEO I am subject to the same silly laws. IN fact some current LEOs can't own certain ASWs. Makes no sense.

i hear ya. i never once washed my car when i worked at the dealer. wait i did once, but like you, i brought all my own shit.

 

Nobody does, its really sad. My neighbor is a Ex ranger, now drives a admin desk for the National Guard, he did 5 years in iraq and afghanistan and has more combat experince then anyone I know. and he still has to follow the law.
LEOs only real exception is they can buy off roster weapons, guns that are not on a list approved for california.

trust me i know all about it. taking guns out of the hands of law abiding citizens while the criminals will always have access to them? yeah, that sounds freaking great. the crimincals dont buy their guns at the gun store, they but them on the streets, illegally. so why restrict the sales of people who obey the law that want to buy them? ehhhh dont get me started, lol.
