I'm with the FOCK: I prefer water-based dressings. Here are my favorites:

    1) Adam's VRT / CG VRT
    2) Tropi-Care Tire Dressing
    3) Zaino Z-16

Not a fan of Optimum Opti-bong, although it's great as a base if you're going to top it.

We're all just spouting opinions here so what I like (if anyone cares) is DP gel. I have the Zaino collecting dust on my shelf...too watery for me. I tried the Surf City and it was good although more expensive than the DP which I got almost 2 years ago with a BOGO sale. It goes a long way and especially given the sale price, is a good value.

I really like Adams VRT, it goes on a little shinier than I like at first but after a while it sets up and has a nice medium shine/mat finish

I have to say - last weekend, after working on a BMW 323i, I found that I hadn't brought my Tropi-Care dressing with me. So, I reached for Meg's Hyper Dressing - the same 3:1 mix that I use for engines. Worked great! Cheap too - I may start using it once I'm out of the Tropi-Care stuff.

Gloss It signature tire gloss, deep satin finish dry to the touch.

Richie Carbone and Ken (911fanatic) can attest to how it looks :thumb:

Well, I futzed around with my S2000 some this weekend, and tried the Meg's Hyper Dressing on it. I prefer Tropi-Care. HD looks okay, and it's certainly cost effective. But even at their recommended dilution of 3:1 (for "Satin" finish), it's a bit shiny for me.

I'm switching back to the Tropi-Care stuff, unless customers ask for something more shiny. The Tropi-Care stuff is the only one I've used so far that makes tires "just look like tires."

Let it sit for about a month or so. Then go back to it. I had the same dilution of 3:1 that took me MONTHS to go through.. and as it sat, it got more and more matte

Now my 3:1 bottle is the perfect shine. It's not shiny at all, just gives a dark look to the tire. And you can't really tell it's dressed unless you look from the front or back, and see the difference in the sidewall, as opposed to the whole tire. Which I like
