Amazing collection of products Brynjar :thumb: Of all of the SV waxes you have, which do you prefer and why? I am interested to hear how you rate CR vs Insignis in particular. Can you provide me with some more details on the sanding items in these pics of yours please when you have some time :thumb:
Incredible collection.. simply outstanding. I'll be selling my scholl's stuff soon for more 3M UK. Way better polishes IMHO
Sure Carn CR vs Insignis.. I believe this will only be my experience since I don't have any "evidence" to back my points up with.. Here in Norway the wax is put under "extreme" conditions during the winter time with salty roads and minus degrees and all the other stuff that we get during winter time.. CR is very long lasting, and when I put it on a car, it just get more bling after a while during the cure time.. Insignis is more shine straight away, and I would say it sheets water a little bit bether then CR, but this i a luxury comparison since CR also is insane when it comes to beading and sheeting.. The durability of Insignis is yet to be tested... I'll be able to answer that question later on this spring I guess.. Also I would say that Insignis has a little more "glass" look(like MG #21 has) on dark cars. If I should rate the two waxes I would still go for CR as number one Then over to the sanding stuff.. Guess you're familiar to the Perfect-it series, so I'm not going to go in on that. From left: 55535 is controll spray. I use this one for lube during wetsanding.. This, or some ONR.. I also use this along plastic trim during wipedown, as I've experienced that it loosen up polish very well.. When I rinse with HP this places are clean..It is also very cheap. 50413/50415 is 75mm sanding disc P1000(50413) and P3000(50415). 50341 is 150mm sanding disc P1000. 05771 is a 3" Soft Interface Pad that I use in combination with P3000 for the best finish on the sanding. I got the yellow sanding block for free, so I don't know the number for that one I'm afraid:-( 50397 is a 6" Soft Interface Pad.. 50391 is a soft backing plate for my air-sander.
I see...It seems to be more powerful then P21S green gel, just wondering if it's worth the cost, because it is expensive...
Yes, I believe you can.. 3M™ Finesse-it™ Hand Sanding Pad 50199 You will also need the paper 00127, 36mm which comes in a package of a 100. Low price.. I'd stick to P21S if I were you, or CG Sticky wheel-long-name-gel..
