    People here are so excited. It is going to land (if it makes it) across the street from me, my office overlooks Boeing Field.

    I was pretty excited to see it finally take flight. Been following it for a while now through all the delays and what not.

    Not many aviation fans on here I see haha. First flight of the new jet, first time it took flight, after 2 years of delays.

    Yeah but what makes this jet so special? It's just a new commercial jet isn't it?

    First commercial jet to use full composite fuselage and many other major components.


    Also it just landed after a 3 hr test flight.

    It's a freakin carbon fiber plane, that's what is so special about it! lol

    It's interesting to note that the exterior is made out of carbon fiber instead of aluminum.

    As is alot of the wing and tail section. Pretty amazing stuff, I was able to see a sample section and it was pretty cool.

    haha, yeah may need a few gallons of tire shine and more than a pot of wax.

    Come on you know you would detail one if you could. Just need a 4 foot buffing pad :gasp:

    Thats good to see....I know it an very exciting item for this area too. They are building a new facility to make those planes.

    can you use auto polishes or there are special airline once?
    what size pad would you use?

    when i saw this on the front page i was hoping it wasn't in the "SHOW and Shine" Sections.
