As this car was rolling into the parking lot, I was hoping that it wouldn't get traded in. It looked so neglected, I couldn't believe how anyone would drive a car like this and not feel ashamed.
Well, I started on it yesterday and it is still not finished, although only the wax needs to come off and the small details need done. As this is a wholesale detail, the goal is never 100% but I can't just "polish" it. So I did the best I could. Only the trunk was original paint. The paint is in very rough shape overall in my opinion but the turnaround was pretty amazing. Hopefully the after pictures are good enough to show the difference.

I didn't have my camera with me today so the final pictures will be taken tomorrow.

Paint was hard and deeply marred.

Great work!!! That looks almost perfect!! There are very minimal swirls left..

Majority of the public probably don't even know that their paint's condition is considered bad...

Ok, took another couple of hours to finish up, but here are some photos. Some panels look very good while others have some RIDS, but they are on the lower halfs.

flawless man. Your work is just so damn sick. One thing i wish though would be that more dealerships would take pride in the cars they take in and sell and have them detailed professionally to at least look half way decent. The dealership that you do work for has the best shaped vehicles i have ever seen in literally my life at dealerships.

I'm guessing that is one of the huge reasons they probably sell a ton of cars.

    Products?

Uno for sure . . . . . . that paint looks flawless man. Excellent work!

Very nice work on this one, huge turnaround. I'm amazed at the amount of gloss you were able to get off those wheels.

Thanks guys. There are still imperfections in the car, far from flawless. The wheels look ok in person. I guess they were so dirty that the difference look huge in pictures. The paint is chipping on them and the insides would really need some work, but the wheels would have to be taken off. I used CG's SSR3 on them.

On the paint I used HD UNO, EZ Creme, and protected it with HD POXY

Great detail job. Black is just so hard to work with.

In addition, I just never saw the fascination with the S2000.

Dont get it....but to each their own.

They're not made for Joey Bag O' Donuts kids from jersey. Stick to your Camaro, bra.

You got to drive one my friend! Toss it into a tight 90 at 40mph with no drama and grin from ear to ear :)

I have friends with Vettes, F bodies, and STis... I may not be as fast as them and they poked fun at me until they drove my S2k... Now they get why I got one :) sometimes I have less then 1/2 the HP of their cars and I whoop them on the Auto-X course with very little done to it ;)...

Im sure its a beast.....just not aesthetically pleasing to me.

Mindflux, you might need to look that big word up. To save you the trouble, it means I dont care for the way it looks.

    :shakehead:

You're the one that made no explanation as to why you didn't like it until just now.

Please go back to doing burnouts in your sweet Camaro.

No explanation needed. Hence why I said "to each their own".

I wish my dealership would let me detail some cars, but then again I don't wanna get paid $50 for a full detail like my detailer. so I passed n start my own on the side. I got some UNO to try on a VW R32 next weekend and hopefully a A5 after that. both are black !!
