so he posts pictures of his "sample tins" in the EXACT same tins as 50/50.... and just happens to have a jar of unused 50/50 sitting there to take a pic against "his wax"

and the bottom line is he has no proof he formulated any of this, and the people that know him personally will tell you he has not a single chemistry related item in his house.

and he was busted lying about his education to sell this wax.

    please stop defending him

I think you're missing the point. No one is arguing about the wax. We can all make wax on our burners and sell it. That's not the problem.

The problem is that he tricked people into believing that he had certain credentials from a well-known University in order to sell his wax.

No more defense...thats not my intent.

Lets just see what the wax is like from people who have tried it AND the other waxes its compared to.

Everything posted is public information and accessible to anyone with a computer. You just have to know where to look.

Instead of spending that kind of $$$$ on a wax why don't you prep the paint properly? That way you can put an inexpensive durable wax on the car and the paint will look perfect.

Without prep, you will not get the look you are looking for.

    Thanks tdekany .....I totally agree.

I actually have a Flex that I replaced my PC with and use Menzerna 1066 (and SIP if needed) to get out any swirls, "spiderwebs or scratches. The flex is an incredible machine for those of us still afraid of a rotary.

Its just fun to use different LSPs to see what gives that extra pop and depth to the finish.

    Mr. Phantomgoat/Polaris,

So you're a chemical engineer? I don't need to see any diploma nor do I need to have you tell me about a list of ingredients which are in "your wax" in order to know your a complete fraud.

I just needed to read a few of your posts on various forums that are now posted everywhere to know you have no idea what you're talking about.

"81%" carnauba huh? That's a great deal of carnauba content. Can I ask you the name of the solvent you used to break down the carnauba? It's not just your average solvent (generally used) is it? Also, what's that do to the flash point of the mixture which in turn means you must take extra care in what step of the process??

I see also on another thread that you actually measured (under the name Polaris) the layers of Zaino applied on a hood? WOW....that's an amazing feat!! Can I ask you how thin a layer of Zaino or wax would be? You claimed to use a device that measures in "femto". That's impressive. First, define a "femto" or better a femtofarad and how your special device is able to read a paint sealant. Or just admit that you have no tool to measure a layer of wax/sealer on a cars paint. Unless of course you have a "special" femto electrostatic device that's able to measure a layer of clear sealant, perhaps? I'm sure you have those readings handy, as any well educated chemical engineer, such as yourself, is taught that notes are your road map!!!

Also, what's the difference between "white" and "yellow" carnauba?? What is it that allows for one to be more expensive?

Lastly, even your terminology is wrong. I work closely with an organic chemist, who has real a PhD (a few of them) so I can pick that up.

Lies lead to bigger lies...pathological liars though can't be told this as they don't see their own lies.

To set something straight Polaris is not me. But I'll still engage in your questioning.

1.) Remember, the Carnauba content %'s published by myself and all other wax manufacturers are volume % vs other wax content. It is nearly impossible to cross the 45% total carnauba weight content due to the texture of Carnauba. So the bigger number is always better right in marketing? ;)

2.) A farad is a measure of capacitance, which is used in physics, and hardly in chemistry. But mathemtically it's considered 1x10(-15)F. I can't go into much more detail because I'm not highly educated in physics. A femtometer is very similar to a paint micronometer, with the exception it can read measurements into the femtometric level. Micro being 10 to the negative 6th, and femto being 10 to the negative 15th.

So the layman can follow along, one application of most sealants, waxes etc, zaino included averages out to be about 0.00025", or also 1/4 the thickness of a sheet of everyday 8.5"x11 paper.

3.) White Carnauba, is Yellow Carnauba from it's most natural point. They both begin as #1 Yellow Prime Carnauba. Also sometimes referred to as Virgin Carnauba Sap. Coming from Carnauba Palm, copernicia prunifera.

How they differ, is that the #1 Yellow is synthetically refined and bleached (not to be confused with Ivory Carnauba, which is only just bleached)

Make sure the carnauba is cleaned using boiling water and commercial solvents like heptanes, hexanes etc. Napthas works as well.

After the wax has a gotten to about 60C it is then reboiled in a butanol mixture, and a bleaching earth is added to the mixture. Now, I'll tell you what I use, but I'm sure as hell not going to tell you my %'s. iron, aluminum, calcium, magnesium, sodium, and potassium oxides.

Like an ivory, the #1 yellow is bleached, by adding the carnauba wax into a water (make sure the moisture/air content is verified before going to the next step) and micella (solvent)mixture, and once reaching about 80C, the micella is strained out (and typically recycled), and various amounts of hydrogen peroxide are added to the wax.

Ivory carnaubas do not have bleaching earths added to them, just the solvent and peroxide mixture.

Now which solvent do I use in the finished mixture? Sorry trade secret, but since I've been successfully capable of delivering to you the holy graile of white carnauba refinement, I'm sure you can assume by now I know what I am talking about.

4.) Using incorrect terminology? Umm hardly, go ask your chemist friend with multiple ph.d's to give you a more detailed lesson, as you obviously have about 25% of the proper information needed to call someone out.

    HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

If you aren't Polaris, then there are 2 people in Pittsburgh with Phantom black M6 GTO's that went to PRP and "supposedly" ran 12.81 "showroom stock" (as you like to say - which in other posts on other forums you have been tripped up by posting you ran a best of 13.1 but you now had a handheld tuner)...Think that it's a coinidence? Go over to LS2GTO.com and look to see who is listed as the 12.81 time for drag racing.

If anyone wants to see it before he tries to scurry to delete it, here's the thread...

don't worry though, screenshots have been taken and will be posted to prove ONCE AGAIN that he cannot do anything but lie lie lie

    HAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Oh, BTW, how's that fantastic Z06 that you have? That's right, you don't have one! LOL

considering i know the guy personally, and dont post on ls2.com, im sure i was just using his sn, big deal..

anyway, i find it pretty pathetic, that youre chasing after me for months, get used to it, im here to stay and my sales have gone up. how does that make you feel?

I've also never used a hand held tuner for any LSx Engine. It's only been touched by hptuners. I don't own a z06

What I find funnier is, you have to resort to name calling like a two year old (oooh you're a liar, burn in hell etc etc). Why not explore the other scientific information my above post states? More than likely because it refutes everything you think about me.

    Go ahead argue with it.

So either buy my product try it for yourself, get it tested, or throw it in a trash can, either way, you can't speak much against it/me unless you try it. Forming an opinion without just shows your stupidity, and ignorance.

edit: it's also extremely difficult to take anyone seriously who hides behind a different handle.
