I know.. it's just a bummer that it came to this. I mean, I'd still rather purchase from you... but at the end of the day it's not good business  Understandable.. but a bummer. Also a bummer the screwed you over like this too :sorry:
Wow... I always thought AG was a high end brand like Zymol, Swissvax etc. I guess its going to be good to have quality products at Crappy Tire, opps I mean Canadian Tire
Most of their products are actually better than most of the stuff out there, cheap or expensive. Their stuff just works. Other than their polishes - they suck ass, bad!
Ken, I have to admit, I kind of feel bad about buying it. It was simply too good a deal to leave on the shelf. :sorry: Anyway, since I know this crowd likes pictures, I took some more. icture: I opened one of the boxes to check out the contents. Both were shrink-wrapped. Here's what's inside the box. These two boxes are attached to one another, and kind of fold open like a book: White plastic pot, red lid. Nothing fancy: Those things that look like fingerprints are from the underside of the lid: Comes with two pre-moistened foam applicators and a red microfiber towel. The towel is pretty nice. I have others I like better, but it's nice enough: Of course, DB is up on screen in the background. I haven't put it on a car yet, but it feels like its pretty soft to my fingertip. The smell actually reminds me of Meg's #26, believe it or not. It doesn't smell like any kind of fruit or perfume to me. It just "smells like car wax." This will be the first high end LSP that I've used on my S2000 since I became so attached to RBOE. I've got a meet on the 20th of this month, and I'm going to go do a little extra to get the car ready, since I'm having some cosmetic mods done there. I'll be sure and take some pictures of the car once it's wearing AGHD.
Its a very nice wax. Kind of like Victoria wax in that its under rated and under priced. With the Hi Def wax, it likes to dry before removing. Weird huh? If you try to take it off early, its a bear like RBOE. Durability is supposedly very good. Like 5-6 months with one coat. The applicators are useless which you will find out. Don't crack open the second jar. I may buy it from you at that price! LOL BTW, that sweater I see better not be attached to any kind of turtleneck!
Yeah. They're very slightly moist. There was a small amount of condensation in the plastic bag they were sealed up in. The applicators themselves feel nice and soft in the hand, but I haven't tried one yet. I'm about to run out of patience and go put some on a fender of the S2000, just to try it. I set the second jar aside in a lockbox. As to the sweater, no way! I hate turtlenecks. They make me feel like a small child is trying to strangle me.
Here is a review from DW. Those applicators have to me damp to become soft to use thus moist in package. Autoglym HD Wax - Detailing World Having a feeling some people will put them up on ebay like those Megs gift kits people got from Target for $5 are now on ebay for $25 until it becomes readily available.
Call them, ask to see if they have a product in stock via product number (they prob trans you to automotive) and then give them the number you see on the receipt Karl posted.
Wow... Interesting... Kind of shady when you think about the position they put the other Autglym vendors (Ken) in:spank:...
I messed around with it some a little while ago. Kind of a bogus test, since the car is in the cold garage, and I didn't strip off any of the RBOE beforehand. Mostly I wanted to see what it was like to work with. It's very, very easy to apply in a thin, even coat. I liked the applicator that came with it okay, probably not my favorite, but I won't throw them away, either. I'll give them a second chance when I do the whole car. Removal is easy too. Took me two passes. The first pass got the easy stuff off, but still left a bit of a haze. The second pass removed this very light haze. You guys know the haze I'm talking about, sort of a linear "line" of light that you can make change direction based on the direction you buff in. One can probably bypass the second step by using a QD like Meg's 34 while removing. I wasn't looking for efficiency, though, I was mostly just screwing around. This was a small area that I didn't prep beyond wiping it down, so I can't comment on looks. It gets good marks from me for ease of use, though, so that's a nice start.
Karl you killing me here man! haha. Sounds like a easy off easy on wax. You wanna come over here and mess around with some ONR and some of the wax :giggle:as my car needs a nice wash. Gonna hit up the phones tomm and call out wal-marts 30 min radius as well as ones in clt. After that I give up till ones closer get them in, but will give ones I hit up today a call as well.
Every time I've ever tried to locate products at Walmart via telephone, it's been so hopeless that I end up driving there anyway. It sometimes seems that the people who pick up the phone will say whatever they think will get you off the phone the fastest. Does the product number actually help?
Every time I have called they transfer me to the automotive department I give them the number and they have said not in stock. I asked if they could locate it at other stores and said when they try to it says it is not in the system but they can search for it in the store inventory and comes up at HD Car Wax. Like I said I give a few a call, if not it will make it to the other stores soon enough I hope. Maybe the New Hope will get more in as they "sold out" so fast HAHA
Hmm I might pass for now on friday I got a jar of s100 so I'm going to try that plus the two zymols I got from here... Bah !
