I'm 0 for 2 finding Autoglym at Walmart. I'm driving to the other side of town here in a bit - not much else to do today anyway.
The two people now that have posted about finding it at wal-mart only paid $35 for it. It was the only AG product on the shelf. (Found in Fl and AZ)
I'm heading back out to check a few more local Walmarts. I HATE Walmart, but if I find any of this stuff, it'll be worth my suffering. It does seem unlikely, doesn't it. Sort of like how there's consumer zymol and proper zymol.
Should be the same stuff, the black packaging found in walmart is the same found on Autoglym webpage, proper autocare selling it now for $60ish with the older white package.
Yes it is. You can be damn sure I'll be speaking with my supplier come Monday morning. PAC is selling it for less than I pay for it. WTF?
I can confirm that this is very real, because I now own two pots of Autoglym HD, for $34.88 (US) plus tax. :headbang: As Ankeet described above, they were the only two Autoglym products of any sort on the shelf. The price tags on the shelves were blank. I was still finding this a little hard to believe, so I had the guy behind the counter at the oil change place check the price. $34.88. I bought 'em. There are three Walmart stores within about a 10 mile radius of me. The first two turned up nothing. The third was a smaller store. It was the first or second Walmart to open in Raleigh many years ago, and I think maybe people have forgotten it exists. It's much less busy than the others. Anyway, that's where I found them. This of course got me excited, and I went to one more store, and didn't find any. I wasn't in the market for a new LSP , because I'm very happy with the ones I already have. But for $34.88/pot, I couldn't pass it up.
wow, are they really the same product? the walmart one compared to the ones we buy online? Or they're slightly different formulaes?
Should be the same, dont see any reason to make them different and call it the exact same name, box, pot...I will say I am 99.999% sure it is the same stuff in the pot.
PAC is selling the line for less than I pay for it dude. My cost on the Hi Def is $85CDN. It all comes from the same place in the UK. Canadian Tire up here is a national chain. No point in carrying it if they and Wal Mart have it, They'll be whoring it out and working on volume. No thanks.
Just to reiterate, only a few products, 8 of them, will be in stores, (from what i have gathered) bodywork shampoo conditioner, high definition wax, perfect palm applicators, super resin polish, vinyl and rubber care products, custom wheel cleaner, rapid detailer and instant tyre dressing
AG is found in the UK at places like Halfords, which is the equiivalent of Pep Boys. So it's not surprising that Wal Mart would have it in the US. Their stuff isn't bad for OTC!
