now that i have my pot of lusso oro, i find myself wanting more waxes in my collection...go figure:crash:

for my nex wax purchase ive pretty much narrowed it down to either cg 50/50, petes '53 or autoglym HD...but thats only if i can find it in a local walmart.

any opinions for shared experiences with these waxes are welcome and much appreciated

Pete's 53 is awesome, love it. I have tried 50/50 and its good stuff but can't say I have tried HD.

I say save up a little more and get yourself RBOE (Rubbish Boys Original Edition) Comes out to be $77 shipped when all is said and done but truly a wicked wax. If you can save up that little more over I would get that.

If it is from the three, go for HD....reviews I have read are good..little test I did the wax seemed good so get it and give us a review on it.

if i can pick up the HD for less than 40$, ill probably also get one of the cg waxes...so between 50/50 and petes '53 which is the better of the two?

which would look better on black paint (vw rabbit non metallic) and which would look better on silver (b5 audi s4)

Pete's 53 is awesome on black paint, I think its the best between the two.

One of the best thing on Silver is the Werkstat system. If I had black and silver cars I would be buying a Sealant like the Blackfire set up, Zaino and so on.

thanks ken. durability of the petes 53 was kinda hard to tell as the petes was sitting on top of Duragloss Enviroshield (which obviously has crazy durability). and that was the only time i have used it thus far. im assuming you could get a good couple months out of the wax under normal circumstances....IE not taking the abuse of salted roads in the winter etc.

for reference, petes 53 looks awesome on light colors as well:

    Pete53 on white is GREAT

I actually like it more than the RBOE on white...

thanks man. im going to state the obvious and just say that results like that are not totally as a result of the wax. there was a good amount of surface preparation involved to achieve that level of clarity and gloss.

if its good on white i would assume its going to be equally as good on silver. post up pics of the S4 some time by the way!

RBOE is def a nice wax. bur if you're going for quantity, you'd be able to get 2 jars of either 50/50, petes, or lusso instead of 1 RBOE

I am almost positive you will get twice the durability with RBOE over Lusso, but quantifying waxes and price comparisons leave the intangible qualities of different waxes on the table.
