AG: Coatings are in?!?

hehe at least I would hope they pass on benefits to consumers =p but yeah they'll probably just gobble up the savings but at least I would hope they would not push up the price despite savings.

 

How does the durability of Opti Coat compare to CQuartz? Or is it too early to tell as they are both (I think) relatively new. I think they both expect about 2 years of durability?

 

From AGO, it is what i take away from it. Not sure if others can get it direct from Avi, but in most cases places will tell them to go to a local distributor if there is one in the country.

 

This is how it really works.

Phil listens to what the market wants, invests time and money into bringing new interesting companies in that have potentially good products. Test it himself, then takes the feedback of the forum and brings in the latest and greatest, at very good prices.

AG just lurks, sees what everyone else is doing, then sneaks in and start carrying it themselves. It started with Menzerna. This is just another example. They don't do anty R&D themselves. They let people like Phil do it, then when they see it gets good feedback, they start carrying it. Weak.

 

same thing with sonax, kwazar, and the black uber all purpose towels.

just reading the short paragraph on the "whats new?" page is slightly laughable. they claim they scour the earth and do tons of testing to see what products are good enough to bring to their site, but it seems they try to carry every product imaginable. some things they do just rub me the wrong way, to me they try to the walmart of the detailing world and use they're size to squash the little guy. Dont get me wrong I understand the business model and ive ordered from them in the past with no issues, but I try to order elsewhere first if I can.

 

Phil got 3x more business from me vs AG or others. I have all the receipts ! !

I've known this was coming for over a month. I am happy to hear that Optimum has finally released their consumer version of OC.
