Adding a Polishing Step after a Detail.

So I recently did paint correction for the first time on my Mustang, It was pretty badly marred and everything didn't come out but I'm happy with the results for my first attempt. I used a PC and m105 on a yellow pad with m205 on a white, I wanted to add PO85RD between the 205 and the glaze but I ran out of time. Is it just as simple as removing the wax and adding that step later on to get the extra finish? No need to go back and start completing over right? Probably a dumb question but thanks for the feedback.

 

strip it clean then you can do the 85rd (dont scratch it all over when u strip it tho)

 

85rd after 205.

85rd should be done as a "jeweling" stage. And you should probably do this over 2 days if not more.

After polishing wipe down with Isopropyl Alcohol combined with Water. 50/50.

 

what color is your car? it might not be worth end result to do whole thing with 85 after 205, do one panel (wipe it with IPA and polish it with 85, see if you can tell the difference, if you cant then dont bother doing whole thing), if you took your time with 205, 85 wont do much difference but like i said do test panel like with everything else

 

I wouldn't double up on finishing polishes... I would use 85rd as I like it much much better... but that is personal preference.
