I see. Well in any case if you are going to purchase new CR Spotless, and new Karcher pressure washer - Costco is the way to go, save yourself $100!!!

I know if you bought it from Phil at DD he would make sure you got a new one. If you got it from any where else.... well.... good luck!!!

I did, but I know he doesn't carry them anymore which is why I didn't seek out that option. But I'll shoot him a pm and ask anyway :)

It was reading 0 PPM. I just put the cartridges back and they were reading 0 PPM as well.

Yeah, I wondered if my TDS meter was broken but it was later confirmed that it wasn't and I'll explain in the next paragraph.

UPDATE: So I just received a phone call from Chuck, the owner of CR, regarding my issue with my DIC-20. First off, he had apologized for not responding to my query as he was either out sick or came back from some sort of business trip (I have horrible memory so I don't remember the exact details). Well he asked me about my issue that I submitted and I further explained that I had run water through my system without the cartridges and then with the cartridges only to find the TDS meter to read at 0 PPM in both cases. I had explained that I thought my TDS meter was broken but he affirmed me that that wasn't the case.

Chuck explained that he's never really had any issues with the TDS meters going bad and that the sensor sits on something (again bad with the details here; horrible memory) that allows it only to work when the system is pressurized (when the cartridges are in the system). Chuck also mentioned that the reason behind why my TDS was reading in the high 60's after two full washes was probably because my cartridges were not seated properly and this was proven to be true since the TDS meter was reading 0 PPM after I had reinstalled the cartridges.

Despite Chuck's logical explanation to my problem, he still expressed concern in that if I should experience this issue again, I should give him a call back to have my resin replaced. I have to admit, that right there is great customer service! Also, he's the owner of CR and it's definitely comforting for the owner to call me and guarantee his product with great customer service. After having this positive experience over the phone, I'd be happy to stick with my CR system. :applause2:

I hope Aaron experiences the same type of customer service that I received. :thumb:

Have any of you guys tried looking in to getting a water treatment system from your local area? I have found a few places near me just by checking the phone book under: water purification & filtration Equipment . They have many setups to suit your needs some have monthly rentals and others have a flat rate , For example : one company said that they would setme up with a 2 large cylinder system including a TDS meter and hookup and the only cost is for the system recharge the price is $300 per regeneration and the the system treats up to 5000 gal. and thats for as long as it takes to use up with no extra charges and when it needs tobe recharced you just call them and they come and change the cylinders.

I also found a small portable one that treats up to 200 gal for a monthly rental of $42 a month plus the regeneration cost whenever needed of $60.

Just thought I would share, maybe it will help someone :2cents:
