    Exactly. It´s less time consuming to hit it with a 4000 grit and then use a less abrasive polish, then using a heavy compound, wich will need much more refining.

    Here is another update....

    Passenger side almost done. Will do final polish of entire car right before he picks it up.

    Todays chore - work on drivers side starting with this nasty orange peel on the cowl

    Sanding the dside 1/4 window. Very bad orange peel.

    Took 3 hits of 1500# to get it to this point

    Roof all done, once again, without final polishing.

    nice progress ken. try finishing with 3000 some time. thats what i always do.

    Will try it on the hood and trunk lid. Today I sanded with 1500 and then polished it out and it worked great. Used the GI grey wool and Power Gloss. Followed up with GI white compounding pad and 105. I have some Trizac 3000 I want to try.
