This car received a full correction last summer so today was just getting a wax top up to tie him over until May. No washing pics as car was delivered pretty much spotless other than the wheels which I redid. Once washed and dried, it was apparent that someone wasn't following the instructions I laid out for maintaining the paint. Very light marring covered the car. I'm sure Colli 845 or Auto Balm would have masked it no problem but I was waiting to try a product that Rich at Polished Bliss had recommended - Blackfire Gloss Enhancing Polish. This product is meant to mask minor swirling by smoothing over the edges on scratches so the light will reflect better. A few before pics. All washed and dried ready to go. What to do. Hmmmmm....... Applying GEP with my PC on speed 3-4. You don't have to use very much of this product. I found that once the pad got saturated ( I was using too much ) I barely had to put any on the pad as it spreads very easily. After applying, you let it dry and then buff off. I put it on too thick so it was harder than it should have been to remove, but it wasn't bad at all. Results Reflection shot Decided to throw some CG Wet Mirror Finish on the hood as well. First of two coats of Gloss it Gloss Finish Drying All finished. Enjoy. Thanks for looking.
Ken..that stuff did a nice job on concealing the small sins the 'vette had. What LSP did you use to seal it in? (Did I miss that?). The only thing with using a masking-type product in my opinion is that you better have a really strong LSP to seal in the product to maintain that look so it does not dissipate in a few weeks. Colli would have been great on it, eh? I just ordered some of the 845...I have a tin of the other one but I always found it hard to use and stopped using it. I'm stoked to try this Colli out. The hood looked very wet too with the WMF...nice job, bud.
Looks good Ken, I have always been interested in GEP and always had in the back of my mind if glaze like pre-wax cleaners (like GEP and RG Pre-Wax Cleaner) effaced durability of the LSP due to fillers. Really got that Vett shining with GEP and seems like CG wet glaze helped a good amount as well. Looks great.
