Those look exactly like the ones I have. I am selling 5 of them (used) for $3 a piece plus shipping. Check my thread in the fs section.

Thanks all for the info! Wow that's a pricey backing plate... but somehow that makes it even more exotic. And $17 for a finishing pad? Sheesh. Well, I guess I did pay over $2,000 for a wax, so I suppose it's not too crazy. Thanks again all!

Gloss-it bacling plate is pretty nice, little cheaper.

I just got some 3m uk pads in yesterday (yellow and blue) they are uber soft and still dont know how the yellow is going to be able to cut as well as a uber green or what not....i guess I will find out soon.

The 3M UK yellow pad is pretty useless. Its seems to have less cut than my CCS or GI green pads and they are for final polishing.

Was talking to Karl and said that they cut close to a Uber green, and i know carlos uses the black (now yellow) pads for most all of his polishing.

I actually really like that pad. I use it more frequently than most anything else I've got in the box, typically with PO203. Different strokes. :thumb:

I would use it for polishing with something like 106. I just find that the green pads, combined with 203, will remove that much more that the yellow 3M becomes a mute point. Maybe I'll get mine out and play with it a bit.

Maybe I will do a 3m Yellow vs Uber Green test once I get my uber greens in with some P0203 and see what goes down. Battle of the titans...or something like that.

3M pad colors now correspond to the 3M products they're designed for? I think that black and blue switched positions with the new pads. that is blue was polish and now it's the finishing pad, while yellow becomes the polishing pad. I have some of each. I like the polishing pads for everything from SIP to 106. I use the finishing pads (black or blue) for 85RD.
