No problem glad it helped you out and it was really the members who replied that helped not me haha.

Oh well I hope it still works good if not, I guess I can always get the 3M one.

Had a client buy a Flexipad 3M clone...It lasted all of 4 or 5 details before it delaminated!

I hope this one lasts longer than that but I guess I will see. If it doesn't last I will let everyone know.

The Flexipad 3M clone looks very similar to the glossit and Scholl Concepts backing plate. But the Liquidshine backing plate(also made by Flexipads) is very durable and I don't know why its cheaper then the other one?

I have brought home those two and I will take photos of them, so you guys can take a closer look. But not tonight.

I realy like the orange coolshine, but it looks different then the pictures on the site. Thats the old coolshine.

Here is the old finishing pad and the new compounding pad.

I bought the CG one - 3M might be better, but they'll lower their price before I try it!

Danny, I just ordered the CG one as well. I'll contribute what I can for a review once I get it as well. Thanks for bringing all this up man I have been looking for a better BP for the longest time without spending 60 on the 3M one.

Well I got the 9227C in today and just wanted to post some pics up with the CG Evolve4R 5" backing plate. I also got some christmas gifts courtesy of Mr. Dunn at Lake Country to sample. I received some 5.5" pads and a new 5" backing plate for my PC 7424XP. I posted this same post on my other thread but decided to re post it here for those who are not following that thread.

I used it on a semi truck 20' x 6' box but it was mostly flat surfaces. It worked decently on curved surfaces but I am sure its the pads I used and not the backing plate. The ones I have are Lake Country pads which are stiff. I need to try it out with some different pads I am going to order some Uber 5.5" from Phil hopefully they are not as stiff. I will post an update for this after I re-correct my Mustang Gt at the end of this month or next month.

I recently bought the Evolve4R BP from CG, but the thread is too big for my Makita 9227. I didnt even think to check the thread size, I just assumed they would be universal. thats what you get for assuming. Spewing too because I bought in a set of 5 inch pads to go with it. Does anyone know of a thread adaptor or something?
