The owner of this lovely beast brought this car to me 1 week after he purchased it used. The paint needed some TLC so he handed it over to me to take care of. What was done: - Wheels were prepped with Optimum Power Clean and Tarminator and cleaned with various brushes - Tires were cleaned with Optimum Power Clean - Tires were dressed with Optimum Opti-Bond - Wheel wells were cleaned up and dressed - Pre-soaked with CG Bug Bugger and Tar Remover - Pre-washed with Dawn - Washed down with Chemical Guys Citrus Wash Clear - Door jambs were cleaned - Decontaminated is Nano Skin Auto Scrub - Compunded using Uber Yellow w/ M105 - Polished with Uber Green w/ M205 - LSP- Menzerna PowerLock - Rubber and trim treated - Windows and mirrors cleaned and sealed - Carpets vacuumed - Spot cleaned with 303 carpet and Upholstery Cleaner - Leather was cleaned and Conditioned - Dashboard was cleaned with 1Z Cockpit Premium - Glass cleaned with Stoner's Invisible Glass and Uber Glass towels Tons of bugs everywhere! Not to mention, Covered in water spots Wheels had some tar on them that Tarminator quickly took care of Used some Chemical Guys Bug Bugger to dwell and soften bug guts 50/50 shot. The paint was tricky to work with as some areas needed to be compounded a couple times. The left side was compounded once which made a world of difference, but needed extra work. good job on the correction Seth! and the bugs went...SPLAT! lol...how is the CG Bug Bugger and Tar Remover product? I would assume Tarminator is better for Tar and the CG is good for bugs? can it be diluted or is it cost effective?
Thanks! I dont use a ton of CG products but I do have quite a few of them (for some unknown reason). They make great products that work and are cheap. Once you cut through their crap website... Thanks man! Its a nice product. I was baffled when I first got it because it wasnt what I thought I was ordering. A while back, I was was buying some different shampoos and I ordered a soap named "Citrus Wash"... What I got was a bottled labeled Bug Bugger and Tar Remover.... i called them and some lady was insistent that I received I got the correct bottle even after I said, "the bottle labels are different on your website!" She told me that the picture probably needed to be updated because they changed it... I started laughing and pretty much told her how the whole website needed to be fixed because it looks like they got a template and then messed it up and I would be happy to fix it for them and hung up. I ended up just slapping a sprayer on it and spray it directly on the contaminated areas. Seems to work decently well however Im sure an APC would work just as well.
Wow.. That thing was a mess. I have a Black 2006 TBSS. It's tough to keep clean but it has never looked that bad. Nice job on cleaning it up!
