Nick..Awesome, awesome write up!! I kept thinking about how much this post could be used to educate not only newbies but customers or potential customers about the level of effort that goes into doing what we do. We share a lot of the same techniques like propping up the trunk. You have so much stuff in your collection, including that expensive paint gauge, that I'm so surprised you haven't bought yourself the ABC Decontamination package. No shit, you could have saved yourself some serious time with this car...especially on white. The end results are fantastic....

    But....

    Dude...better run and run fast...

THE FASHION POLICE ARE COMING FOR YOU RIGHT NOW!!!!

Glad you were able to read through it. I thought it may put people to sleep :)

Thanks again for reading it. Much appreciated when a fellow Canadian reads it up :)

Thanks slanguage ! Time consuming for sure but definitely worth it. I enjoyed it. I also agree with the 303. I pretty much apply most of my products for interiors via MF. I get a more even coat.

That's a great suggestion anbuzero! In some cases I do open the door however in this situation the radius of product when sprayed onto the MF is about half an inch which allows me to put on just enough and if not enough I can take a second pass at a different angle and it will get full coverage :)

For the rail dust I just used Riccardo Yellow clay and elbow grease :). Thanks for reading up anbuzero.

I am also very glad to hear that you are ok from your recent accident in your mitsu lancer. Take care and be safe !

Thanks p1et! Btw i'm jealous of your insignis lol.

Not a problem Denzil. I'm sure i've learned a couple of things from your posts as well. I had to return the favour at some point I didn't want you building up points to use for something else :help: lol.

Agpatel thanks for the info :) The GTI was done up quite tastefully. I'm not usually one for added gauges.

Thanks Ken !! How's the weather out in BC?

Not a problem Rennes. I am happy you read through it :)

Thanks Cnut. appreciate you took the time to read it and comment.

Thanks Richy !!! Not about the fashion police but about everything else. I am having troubles pulling the trigger on the ABC Decontamination package lol. Did you pick yours up locally? If you have pictures of the neutralization package working let me know :) I'm a visual person :p

I would be ecstatic if this thread helps those that are a little more green to detailing.

Richy and lets be honest I'm sure you wear shorts, socks and sandals too. Ok the hoodie is a little overboard as it seems like it's very cold and yet I'm resorting to shorts. I'm a shorts guy. I'll be sure to wear something more colourful the next time around to make sure I catch your eye lol. I'll give you a heads up about the thread.

Thanks again for reading up Richy! I hope the weather is holding up in Windsor.

Thanks i know it must have been a real pain to get all of it off. Ive had to take rail dust off a white civic once:yikes:

Thanks and thank God i walked away from the accident with no physical harm to myself. Like I told many others if it had been a little different it might have been a different story.

I'm glad things weren't different and you walked away for sure. It puts life in perspective doesn't it? Gotta live life to the fullest :)

Chas thanks a lot ! I appreciate it. BTW you should totally pull the trigger on the GTI lol. Get it chipped, lowered, wheels and voila = european speed and handling :) that being said I'm sure you can get a used Mazda3speed at a good price used. But I am very excited for you. Buying a new car is always a very exciting time. One thing I love about the GTI is how the seats hug me. Oh do I love being hugged lol.

I'm kidding about the shorts comment lol. Never take me too seriously with my comments. It's all about good fun I should make myself a little more clear over the internet. :) You are totally right my legs do get dirty when i'm cleaning wheels <cough> knee high socks <cough>.

Oh for sure !!! I'm about to tackle a 4Runner interior. Dirty as heck but i'm looking forward to doing some work outside.

Ford Dealerships eh? Mastercraft? as in Canadiantire Mastercraft? or a Ford branded Master Craft. Is there a specific product title I should be asking for?

    Cheers,
    Nick
