No worries buddy :itsok: in reallity they both do the same lol..and it's all personal preference lol.
been thinking sell my PC and pick up a Makita as well, why are you not confident on using the Makita what are the differences?
Well to be honest for me it comes down to two things. One, is that I've used the Metabo for a longer time compared to the Makita, with the Makita I can count how many vehicles I've polished in one hand with the Metabo I've done way more paint corrections with. Two, the Makita has a complete different feel to it compared to the Metabo. On nice horizontal flat services the Makita feels really great, the speed control is where it should be and the weight is perfect but for me when it comes to doing horizontal panels such as doors that's where I had to get used to the weight, the speed ajustment and well just the feel of it. With the Metabo I horizontal panels are nothing with the Makita the unit feels a bit more heavy compared to the Metabo and I had to get the feel for the Makita...but that's just my :2cents: like I said I like having both both are great tools :thumb:
I imagine the Makita feels a bit funny at first, but it is a great machine. I really haven't tried out the metabo enough, but I might get one... The D handle is nice on vertical panels where as a straight handle is nice on flatter surfaces IMO. I have been trying to track down the meguiar's G500 handle, it can be both. It has a joint so you can bend the handle to suit your buffing style.
