1st Gen Highline Paint Gauge Deal

Did anybody tried reading calibration strips from another brand to see how accurate it is ?
And what is the oldest one out there that is still working fine ? Cause with a price tag like
that, it's tempting !

Since i'm pretty much stuck ... and I feel kindda bad asking.

I'm at a point that I'd be willing to send money over to have a US resident get it, and then ship it via USPS. I wouldn't mind giving them a little extra for their time.
