Hey Josh, IMO it depends on your wash procedure, results you are trying to achieve, and the quality of your water. I have VERY poor quality water where I live. I could not imagine washing a dark car w/o the CR spotless (it does a fantastic job). I only use it for the final rinse. I also find that it depends on what results I'm after in the end. If I am working on show quality paint and I want to minimize contact with the paint, I will rinse with the CR and blow dry with a leaf blower. If I am working on a light colored dd, I usually will not bother with the CR, but instead rinse, blow most of the way dry, and finish w/ a quality WW MF, and a good QD or spray wax. I guess the bottom line is; if you have problems with water spotting, and it’s a bother to you, then yes the CR is a great tool and IMO well worth the coin. If you do get one I can give you the names of a couple of companies who sell bulk resin refill at a good price. Feel free to pm me with any other questions or concerns… Tad Thanks again for the compliments. When I polish door handles, I polish over the parts that I can with a DA. For parts I can't reach with the DA; I use old demoted HT pads, I tear them into small pieces, and use them to polish by hand. Thanks again for the compliment! I know this probably isn't what you mean, but these are the only other pictures I have. :sorry:
No I didn't Danny. I just knew that I had very poor water quality, with high mineral content. Water spots were driving me crazy on dark paints. I did however check the TDS level when I got my CR by running the water through the system without the filters in place. My TDS was around 400-600 without the filteres in place...
