Carlos...the Ford looks great! As you know, I have worked on a few antiques in the last few years and I enjoy them much more than a regular car. It's running your hands over all the curves of the body, you can feel the thought that went into the design. Every car looked different, not like today...no such thing as "badge engineering" in those days, no sir! You put a tremendous amount of effort into it and it showed. What did you use on the running boards? I don't remember reading what? I was also going to advise you on the nomenclature of the cowl but someone beat me to it. Your next challenge would be an early 1900's brass car. Acres of brass, all polished by hand and it only stays that way for a few days. Takes me back decades thinking about that! I really enjoyed seeing this job. It had to take a long time to post it too...thanks for doing it.

Fantastic! That's a seriously beautiful car and definitely one of your best details ever I think :applause2:

Glad you enjoyed it as for the plastic it's the only thing I had and thought why not, well it worked just fine, feel free to use the idea when ever you'd like :thumb:

Thank you, very much appreciated :peace: Garage still has a long way to go but glad you like it :chest:

Yea, this vehicle was a bit of work but it's so rewarding that it hardly felt like work, I mean during the week I would go to the garage and before I knew it 3hrs would go by in a heart beat, time flies when your having fun I guess

 I agree richy, cars like these are breath taking, there is just something unique about them...besides the years these vehicles have surpassed is one thing but the design is something else. I mean I often think about this, the designing team of some of the older vehicles must have been brilliant, to come up with a design that would hold it's on regardless of years that go by that's something else all I can do is :worship2: :worship2: As to what I used on the running board, sorry I forgot about that. I just used 303, it looks good but not sure how it will hold up..luckily this vehicle is a garage queen so it only comes out in nice weather. I would love to detail more of these vehicles, they are not easy to detail but the curves and their sexy lines are something else :woo: To tackle a brass car I'd have to expand my collection of metal polishes ;) but would love the opportunity :druling:

Thank you and I would have to agree, this was a very special detail for me and I'll remember this one for a long time :mounty:

Thank you, glad you enjoyed it. As for the pads I used to wetsand they were the Mirka Abralon pads, they work great...just wish I had my large compressor so I can use my DA sanders :waiting:
