Crap, I lost my post that I just typed. :sorry: Please don't take my frankness as being rude.

Basically, it seems to me that you have a lot of run-on sentences with all the parentheses and semi-colons. But honestly, it's not that big of a deal.

My real question is: Why use a more abrasive polish with less gloss, after using a less abrasive polish with more gloss, to finesse the paint even more?

PO85RD3.02 = Super Intensive Polish for us in the States - 3.5 cut & 3.0 gloss

    PO106FF/FA = Nano Polish - 2.5 cut & 5.0 gloss

It's now PO83Q to avoid confusion. Confused? haha

I have no problem with frankness, I've been a writer getting my share of rejection slips for far too long.

Your real question - I don't have a sound technical answer, other than 'this works or me' on dark paint, especially black

Ah HA! I totally accept that it works for you. Putting it into the context of dark paint, especially black, helps me out as well.

It seems so counter-intuitive I'm just gonna have to try it out on my black car! Hmmm, maybe it adds to the depth of the paint while removing reflectivity.

    Thanks for the clarification togwt!

Great thought process, I think that maybe the answer.

Thanks for the clarification togwt! No prblem, hard thing for me is that its all so clear in my head and unless someones asks for clarification I assume its clear to everyone (and I will add the note about black paint, Thanks)

Detailing also takes willingness to experiment, which usually means deviating from the product manufacturer’s directions, making objectives observations based upon the results obtained, and adjusting the techniques and products used as necessary, always keeping an open mind on manufacturer’s claims for their products.
