I also have a 07 G35 coupe in black. The dealer washed my car with out asking me and made it so swirled up that i wanted to punch the menager. Now i need to detail myself , because the last " professional detailer" did nothing to make swirls go away. Great job guys!
its probably swirled so bad because most if not all dealers use horse hair (pretty much nylon) brushes to wash with. That alone is abrasive by nature...then you have to factor in that they probably dont rinse the car off properly, they just kinda spray water on the car (not really rinsing anything OFF the car) so that means they have dirt on the surface to get grindin! Also they probably are using the same old soap from the day before that they used on the last 45 cars washed and is just swimming with dirt and grime. Also, they probably dip once in the soap and then try to brush the whole car with one dip, and that means as you go over and gradually lose water the brush dries out and become less and less lubricated and more and more abrasive... how do I know so well? Watched it for years at the dealer I worked at. its also funny to see these "dealer detailers" try to run compound on a rotary (wool pads used on the last 45 cars, dirty, way too harsh compound, way too high speed, an then they think they did amazing work too! well, be thankful though because their messes make our miracles of more value and demand!)
