that garage is wicked. your work was fantastic, but I'm just floored with the amenities in that garage.
Thank you for sharing the pictures of your lift, very much appreciated. The lift I've been looking at is this one: How has your lift performed, my fear of the lift you have is that you have to align it properly on the frame of the vehicle. Have you had any issues with your lift?
The lift you have there looks like a Bend Pak, which is a nice lift with the swing air jacks more heavy duty than a scissor lift for sure. Yes I have approach ramps that I drive onto then set the arms to the jacking points or pinch welds to clear the lift as most of the cars I work on are exotic lowered cars, however the lift in the pic is not moveable and needs a dedicated air compressor with a minimum cfm requirement which is great for wheel and brake work but in my opinion not detailing as it restricts some of accsess to the lower side of the car that you would be polishing. Not sure of the price on that one but the Snap on model I have is 3,300.00 dollars and is quality.
Yea, I'm not sure about that lift I posted pictures of. It seems more geared towards heavy duty and wheel alignments I've seen the Snap on model, not sure it the one I saw was exactly like yours. I'm looking to get a lift that will be able to lift SUV's as well as small little sports car. Here in Calgary people love there SUV's...but then again do I really need to lift an SUV :shead: :shead: Any who, thank you for sharing the info very much appreciated. I'm still not sure which lift I'm going to go with but I'll definitely be sticking to Snap on, I'm a firm believer in quality :thumb:
Carlos I don't know how much room you have in your shop/home but for what you are doing with suv's I would get a four post drive on lift with swing air jacks which lifts the car by the suspension pick up points as opposed to the jacking points, unless you do not have ceiling clearance. Anyone who has the chance to utilize a lift saves their back as you should always work from mid waist to armpits to reduce fatigue and stave off back problems, plus the correction possible on the rockers and the wheel wells(if the wheels are dismounted) is unbeatable. My Snap on lift was made in Oh Canada!!!:mounty: from Ontario to be exact and the guy who trucked it down was a guy from poland who lived in Montreal who was super funny and cool. Ken I figured this was not the time to say "take off eh" as I loved my time in Canada when I played minor league baseball in the early eighties (calgary was especially nice during the stampede:giggle: and for any American who has not been to Vancouver it is gorgeous(when the sun is out.......).
