03 Black Z06 Severe Acid Rain/Water Spot Etching

Hey now, Im an ex-zaino user, besides I prefer Blackfire wd afpp sealant to zaino any day!

but I just bought some SV Concorso that I am itching to slather on the Z06 after seeing it on my dad's truck!

 

Did you do anything to special for water spots to neutralize acids or was polishing good enough to get rid of any issues with the acids still being present, I would guess with polishing and washes that it is no issue. Great turnaround and glad to see you helping the owner out to keep it looking good.

Hahaha, I am not a sealant guy at all. I offered to applt Vintage or Divine on Adams car but I don't think he liked the price of those waxes-lol. You will really like Concorso, I have a bunch of their waxes.

Thanks, Nothing special or neutralizing acids. I wouldn't call it just polishing, this was very intense to say the least. I understand some water spots will be easier to remove but these were in there for awhile. The show cars I went sand four different times than polish are easier than this was. If you can wash your car after being rain on that helps keeping the spots to a minimum and light polishing if they are light spots will do the trick.

Damn fine work there Dana. That Vette looks as black as a Steeler Helmet now!!! I know what you mean about the sprinklers as I have a co-worker with a F250 that has a gaggle of water spots from his sprinkler system. He wanted to get them out until I told him how much it would cost and he figured he would just live with them. Love the Blackfire on the Vette, who recommended that to you?????

Thanks JL, just need to stick the emblem on it and it would be a rolling helmet. I told Adam the price and he completely understood, those are the type of customers that you really want to do that little extra for. ZoomZoom was telling me about it and kept busting my balls about the Wolfgand sealant so I tried it and it looks and feels better than the Wolfgang.
