Yukon..thanks very much! I have used the valuguard system on 2 cars and I love it. Here is the 1st time I used it (see below) ..also on a metallic paint and did it ever make the flake come alive on that one too. The 2nd link is courtesy of AL53 and is the Ford Motor part #'s for the products..you can get them locally in Detroit! http://www.detailingbliss.com/forum/f47/01-camaro-1st-time-using-valuguard-4254.html Acid Neutralizer Alkaline Neutralizer Detail Wash Once you've used it, you'll find that you'll go through the neutralizer the fastest and in fact, you could substitute the wash with DG car wash. I ordered my kit prior to knowing the Ford part #'s. Carlos..I did not receive the bars. I had assumed you were just too busy and forgot. You probably thought I was sticking you for the bill!! Please check with your post lady, b/c they definitely did not arrive.:shead: Thanks for the feedback on the job and please let me know what happened with the red bars..thanks!! JL..thanks so much. I am always trying out obscure things and sometimes they work and sometimes not, but the DG used as lube did the trick. AL53 responded to me post about a Trans Am that I first tried it with an interesting looking product that I think I need to try (I had forgotten to tell the truth:giggle..check this out: Flynn's Detail Products - Automotive Waxes, Polishes and Detergents Thanks there doc!!
Incredible work Richy!!! That had to take some serious effort. I always learn from your writeups and I really appreciate that. Thank you!
that was a great one, richy! next time though, post after pictures of your door jambs and hinges... I love those pics
Wow! That car got worked over in both ways. It was owned by the overspray and then man handled by you to get it looking fresh off the show room floor. Looks great. BTW, what are you using to stripe the carpets like that?
Corey, I didn't think you were going to comment on this job. I just referenced it as a memory jog for the overspray job I have coming. Thank you though and I sure will post up the truck when I do it this weekend. No problem. This is one of the jobs I am most proud of. Corey and I were in the chat box on L2D last night and I was telling him about a black metallic truck I have coming that has run over white road paint that is all down one side as well as in the wheel wells and in the wheels. I'm getting better at taking more shots and better quality ones. Thanks. I had referenced this job due to my upcoming job this weekend. The carpet stripes are put in by switching directions after each pass with the vacuum nozzle.
oh god, please tell me how you tackle the road paint. I have never had a good experience of getting it off.
Great work on that Sebring. I just finished working on a car that had overspray on the ENTIRE car from a mobile painter. I know how much work that must have been. -Kody-
I was looking up an old job of mine and I saw your request. Here is the job I was referring to: http://www.detailingbliss.com/forum/show-shine/21344-road-paint-overspray-2010-gmc.htm
