What temperature are you washing your microfibers in? Maybe there's some kind of residue embedded in the fibers? You could try washing them in hot...

Yeah I know there's a lot of people who turn up their noses at inexpensive products like Turtle Wax but I also know there's at least a few others...
I've also had great success using Megiuars Ultimate Quick Wax as a drying aid. Only problem is I always over use the stuff and run out way sooner...
