Thoughts on this product. If I am using menz powerlock after correction and then a carnuba paste wax would this be of any use to me applying before the the Powerlock? Thank you!
to my understanding if you'r using Menz powerlock, you should be able to go right to a paste wax after powerlock is cured. If you're using HD cleanser, it will probably clean the powerlock along with it. Then reason behind all these cleanser is to prep the paint for a new layer of wax by removing the old wax.
I asked if it would be of use before I apply the powerlock not after. Meaning after correction is complete, sorry for any confusion in my wording.
No, there's no advantage to doing so and may even hinder the bonding process as a sealant cross-links with the paint, and having a layer of oil in between can affect this. The oil only aids in the application of a wax.
I haven't used HD Cleanse but as I recall that stuff is chock full of oils and fillers. That would be fine if you were using a wax for an LSP but with Powerlock I think it is likely to adversely affect the bonding. If you want to use a cleaner-glaze something like Prima Amigo would probably be a better choice before PowerLock.
