I use as recommended here 1 oz in my foam gun. I used on my car's paint & my friends vw passat's paint. Using cr-spotless and in shades. It stain all the chrome window trims!!!! Never again on paint. Tires n carpets.... That's it.

I've said it so many times on this forum that Zep Citrus shouldn't be used on automotive paint. I don't even use it on wheels. It's a great product, but for wheel wells only, and interior duty at the right dilution.

Took me 2hrs to repair it with optimum metal polish. Never again on paint. Only p21s aw n power clean for me. But p21 aw is expensive.....maybe 1z blitz or w99?

1Z Blitz is great on paint.

You have to dilute it 6:1 or weaker and it's safe for all exterior surfaces. Phil @ DD knows that 1Z Blitz is my new best friend.

I've never had any problems with zep citrus. Did some of it dry on there because that is where the main problem is with all chemicals. If its kept wet and not allowed to dry should be perfectly fine. I used it at 10:1, much stronger than your mix, on paint and chrome bumpers and have never seen any damage. :shead:

    Guess I'm just lucky.

I let it dwell for 1 min in the shade n rinse before I start washing with my shampoo.

  13. Are you for certain the chrome wasn't already jacked up before you started to foam. Kinda hard to tell when its dirty :shead:

I guess that happened with me too, except I used normal water from the tap and I think the stains were from CG Citrus Wash?

I just used P21S Restoring Cream on an MF applicator then wiped off with an MF. It works wonders!

Not on paint. I've used it on wheels at 3:1 to no ill effect but I use it for tires and wheel wells.

to remove multiple layers of 845.

    1. pre-soak via spray bottle (approx 10:1)

2.added less than 1oz to foam gun w/ CG CW (orange)

    3. added 1oz to wash bucket w/CG CW (orange)

DB no need to be sorry. AG cwc, raceglaze brushes & xl brush, brown royal, n many other great products came out from this forum. I like to try things out myself, but zep citrus won't touch any paint anymore.
