Hey guys, Watching a movie today (Transformers) and the guy got his first car. Well, it got me thinking about the first car I had. $600 for a 74 Datsun B210. Made the same year I was born. We called it the booger. That car had so many problems. If it rained, it wouldnt start because the inside of the distibuter cap would get wet. The speedometer wouldnt work. The needle would bounce from 0-120 constantly. Luckily the guy I bought it from did free labor on it for me. I owned that car for 3 years. I hated it, but it got me where I was going most of the time. So, What were your first cars?? Were they as bad as mine? Heath :woot:
Sweet thread!!! Well my first car didn't even run when I bought it, hell I didn't even have a license when I bought it... She was a 1965 Corvair Monza.. Yellow.. I did get her running. It was a fun car Now my first car that actually ran when I bought it was a 2-door 1969 Ford Thunderbird Baby Blue - Soft Top with a 360 horse 429 cubic-inch V8. Damn that thing moved. I can still hear my friends begging me to slow down. I was a teen at the time and the back seat was HUGE, it was more like a couch... Me and my "girly friends" had some good fun in that back seat. Cool thing about the car was it had FULL POWER... power seats/windows (cant remember if the mirrors were power). Another neat thing was the headlights flipped out. very fun car, I would like to get one again just to relive my youth a bit!!
Oh man Transofrmer is my favorite movie, incredable attention to detail and it's just down right wicked :wicked:...Autobots role out...:woo: :woo: First care you say...mmm..:shead: oh yes first car I purchased from my dad (I think I paid for it lol) was a 1982 Toyota Tercel, silver. Such a nice vehicle, small but enough room for me. Good times, very good times with it. I just wished I knew what I know now about detailing back then, but live and learn.
My first car was a 1995 jeep wrangler. I spent every dollar I had building her up from nothing. Bought it for 3500 and sold it 2 years later for 6000. To bad I invested well over 10000 between lift kit, tires, trans, lights, etc. Now I am seriously debating buying another one just as a hobby. Wish I didn't sell that truck, good times.
Mine was a 1997 Dodge Ram 1500. Still have it, it's just tucked away at my parents house in Belgium. I MISS IT SO MUCH!!! Never get rid of your first car, you'll regret it.
Why haven`t we seen a detail on that sucker?? What a nice car!! Love it My first car was a 1993 Audi Coupe 2.8 Quattro. What a fun car! With porsche rims
Haha, of course. And the list is: AUDI AUDI VW AUDI AUDI VW Next: AUDI :joint: Better then nothing :chest:
My first car was a 1986 Ford Fiesta 1.1 Ghia in white. I paid £800 for it and it taught me the valuable lesson never to own a white car again!
The first car I ever purchased is the one I still drive now, a 2000 Trans Am. However I did drive my parents spare car for a couple of years after highschool.
Hey what's wrong with white : : Actually white is just as bad as black if you ask me...hard to maintain.
My first vehicle was a 1978 Ford Bronco. We used to take it out and beat the heck out of it offroading. I drove that for about a year and then bought a mustang, had mustangs ever since.
my first vehicle is a 94 firebird formula.(well i had a stealth twin turbo that i sold cause i had motor probs, but i never drove it cause i was like 14)
Sweet! haha I used to be in love with those cars. Pirex - Man you're just ballin Haha you had this car and that.. I still have my first car. My parents gave it to me, 1992 Mitsubishi Galant GS. Had problems of course. It needed an engine swap, and the most recent major problem was the throttle body being messed up. Had to swap the internal parts for the throttle body. It's holding up, but the transmission likes to grind so I have to double clutch . It also has the toughest rims to clean...it's almost impossible :deadhorse::crash:
Talk about a wide variety of vehicles!!! The guy that had the car had a couple of junk Datsun's that we'd get parts off of when needed. I still have part of the engine out in on of the sheds at my house. I should sell it for scrap. I cant do anything else with it. I had the worst tires too. I'd car a couple of spares in the back and a floor jack!
Dude you got to love the Stealth TT. I think I can beat everyone for worst first car. Mine was a 1972 Pontiac Ventura that was turd brown and I bought it at a yard sale!
