You gotta see how the dealer deliverd this BMW 335 X Drive - swirl o rama!

Paint correction - also known as swirl mark removal or machine polishing, paint correction is the reduction or removal of marks in the top layer of paint to produce a more refined finish.

Paint correction will involve machine polishing and various grades of cleanser, polish, or compound. The majority of work is usually done with orbital or rotary machine polishers to get the best level of correction.

Great paint correction requires a high level of skill and concentration, but done properly, paint correction can transform the look of a car by dealing all the issues discussed above.

Reasons to seek out paint correction services:

    - Road grime, grit, tar
    - Bird crap, dead bugs, and tree sap
    - Water spots
    - Improper wash techniques and products used
    - People brushing against the car with their clothing or bags
    - Holograms and swirls caused by lack of proper training and techniques
    - Automated car washes

All of the above can leave the paint of a car looking imperfect - dull, faded, and covered in various level of scratches (from light to heavey), swirls, and marring.

For most vehicles, paint correction really can make a substantial difference and will completely remove or significantly reduce most marks. Once the paint correction is done the results will display amazing gloss, depth of color, and slickness.

The customer of this BMW 335 had a budget in mind so here is what we were able to do for him.

    We will remove
    - 50 - 70% of deeper swirl marks.
    - Remove etching from water spots and bird etchings.
    - Remove and or reduce lighter scratches and marring
    - Remove surface contamination
    - Restore faded and dull paint
    - Polish and bring back gloss and depth of paint

Will not remove the all swirls, or deep scratches. We will not be fixing rock chips at this level either.

Amazing how badly the imperfections show through on that white. Can't even imagine what it would have looked like had it been a darker color! Thanks for another great thread, Phil!

Question, I see 2 Rupes RO Polishers used during the correction. Where does the Griot's Garage 6 RO Polisher come into play?
