    BrendanS Welcome to Detailing

My whole spring break was rain except for today and hopefully tomorrow. Got some nice sunshine today and used it to clean up my moms car. The car hasn't been washed in about three weeks, the pictures don't show much of the dirt nor gloss. The rims actually had a large amount of brake dust on the inside.

Nice job! I have to agree that FK108 works great on tires (you were the tipping point on my order over Z16) :giggle:

I love it, but it's useless unless the car has LSP on it. But I usually just blow as much water off as I can. I make sure to get all the water off the windows to help prevent streaking. It gets through the cracks and is great for drying the tires before putting on dressing. Honestly, it's probably one of the biggest helpers with drying. It doesn't get it completely dry but that where a drying towel comes in. Lets you do a car with one towel which is nice!

haha awesome! I'm glad you like it too. I love the finish it leaves. I've had it on my sisters car for about 4 days now and it's been through the rain and sun. It doesn't look like the day after I applied it but you can still tell the tires have been dressed. It also hasn't shown any signs of slinging either which is what I was really after! Glad you like it.

I was thinking to try it out, getting a decent leaf blower ($70-$80) from Lowes or Home Depot for that...

Great job here..the wheels look great..i need one of those meg's brushes for tires. Also where did you get that firehose style nozzle?????

I would recommend it. Not only are you spending the $70/$80 on a drying tool for your car, but also you can use it in many other places. For me, when the garage floor is dry I just move the cars out and blow all the dirt out the garage. A lot quicker than sweeping and it gets in between the shelves and what not. I think it's an awesome investment. Luckily my dad has one already thats plenty powerful.
Thanks, the wheels took a while to do, but it's a pleasure doing them with brushes now instead of using a mitt to do it. But I also like to use a sponge. Works great if not better for the face of the rims and in between the spokes.

Glad you're liking the brushes. Now all it needs is wax. You weren't doing anything today anyway, were you?

    Thanks bud!
It's already wearing two coats of Collinite 845 from when I put it on in January. I wish I had time to wax it again today! I have a history essay to finish before I go back to school tomorrow and then I have two tests I have make up since I was sick for a week the week before spring break....:help:

You use FK1 108 on tires? is it water based? Liquid form like Z16?

    BrendanS Welcome to Detailing

I really like Ultragloss, but honestly I had a really really high expectation for it coming ffrom you and Karl. It to me isn't much different then Megs Gold Class. But it's a lot more cost efficient so I'll stick with it. Love the smell as well, I think it gives a bit more shine then Megs though.
Yeah I've used it on tires, vinyls, and trim. Love it everywhere I put it, it is water based as well. So it doesn't stand up to rain very well. Deson't wash away but the rain does kind of fade it. So IMO best for summer/spring time when there is less rainfall. But I just wanted to put it on. We've had two rainy days after the wash and you can still tell the tires have been dressed, just it's a bit faded like I said. But it's a great dressing, love the matte look it gives. It's anti-static as well so it's great for keeping dust off the interior.
