This brush is 100% genuine Boar's Hair. It is as soft as my girlfriend's hair right after a nice conditioning! I have only used this brush 1 time on my M3 to give it a quick wash. I must say this thing is very luxurious, but I feel as though I have bigger need for inner wheel brushes. This is the Boar's Hair brush from Griot's Garage. It retails for $60 new. I really want to try out a EZ detail brush or the Daytona Brush. I personally think I'd be getting ripped off it all we traded was 1 brush for 1 brush...the boars hair is so expensive. a boar's hair brush is the softest hair, and can be used for washing and will not marr or leave swirls if you wash with it. I used it a couple times on my car and it didn't swirl, but I just prefer to use MF noodle mitts. I believe phil uses the boars hair brush to wash with
