Sudan protesters seek Briton's execution - Africa - MSNBC.com Stories like these make me SO ANGRY!!! Their religion is not peaceful: it teaches and PRMOTES hatred and violence. :boxing:
I am not closin this thread as it is a current news story, however if it turns into a bashing of someones personal relgion I will shutit down. I am sure everyone will be nice, and i dont want to have to close it. I really dont
I think every religion has some "you can kill your enemies" clause. The ones that do not are probably not around any more. :gasp:
I understand, I will be mature about it. I would love for someone to explain to me why Muslims are convinced they have a peaceful religion, yet have continued violent demonstrations. You are telling me that you want to murder someone because they allowed a child to name their teddy bear Mohammed? It is just beyond me.
Buddy it all goes back to the old testament, Abraham was told by God he would have a son. God never told him the excat time... well abraham was getting very old and so was his wife sara, so to hurry God, sara went and got one of her maids and let abraham sleep with her and they had a son, Ishmael (don't know that's spelled right) So Ishmael was supposed to me now Israel. Well, then God did what he does, and Abraham and Sara had a son between the two of them named Issac. Well Issac was what God had intended for in the first place... so Issac got the blessing. Issac represents Israel. Ishmael represents Iraq, or muslims. Muslims for the longest time felt like they were supposed to be the blessed nation, so in their own twisted religion they are fighting for their blessing, which they will never get. I know this is hard to understand, especially if you've never read the bible, which im not condeming if you haven't.
What I don't understand is this:in the past few years there have been a few incidents that some newspapers depicted Mohamed in a cartoon character doing or saying something that outraged the Muslim world and they(Muslims) demanded the depictions to be removed or apologies to be made ,then it eventually faded away until someone else says/draws something and again it causes anger. What I don't understand is why don't people learn from these incidents and simply stay away from saying anything derogatory about Muslims prophet Mohamed in particular? My heart goes for that British woman who so innocently named a tedybear MOHAMED ,but,,,what was she thinking?didn't she know these people would not take kindly to someone naming an animal (toy)Mohamed which is the most sacred and holiest name in that part of the world? We just don't comprehend the outrage over something like this but we don't have to as long as we agree not to attack or insult others beliefs. If the church was running the western world instead of seculars we would also see any comic references to Jesus as an insult to the whole Christian world.the people who live in those countries are under clergy's rules for so long that their religion has become their way of life.totally different from what we are used to. Live and let live that's all I have to say.
Distrbd, there have been many, many comic depictions and references to Jesus. When is the last time someone was outraged about it or burned down building and attacked churches or embassies because of it? It's one thing to not take kindly to it, it's another to want to kill others because of it. With them, you're either a Muslim or you need to be converted. The Western world tolerates their religion (we'll see how long that lasts if they keep up what they're doing) but they absolutely do not tolerate other religions. How is that fair? I'm European and we have many, many mosques where they can pray. I would LOVE to see what would happen if we started putting up Jewish temples and Catholic churches in their countries.
That's a funny name to name a teddy bear. A name is a just a name, they should just get over it. Although, I wouldn't use that name, knowing how frustrated some people would get. And yeah, their religion is too much...need to calm down a little...
a great example to what you've said, P1et happened to me today at work. I run a country radio station or lite music station up there, and they were playing some christmas music...I had not just one, but TWO people come in and tell me ti change the channel as it was against their beliefs.....
Are you fooking kidding me? I would have played Christmas music until their ears bled! One story I will never get over is when I was at Jason's Deli a few years ago. They had loads of nice decorations up, and one sign that said "Merry Christmas" in many different languages. One woman was OFFENDED that it wasn't mentioned in her language. She was a bloody AMERICAN, it was right there in English! So she complained and the manager ended up giving her a free lunch. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGH, it gets me so RILED UP! I did it last year and will do it again this year: the signature on all of my business emails will say MERRY CHRISTMAS and a HAPPY NEW YEAR. I want to throw up every time I see a sign that says HAPPY HOLIDAYS. :boxing::boxing::boxing:
