sure.......... I plasti dip grilles all the time, its very durable and better then trim dressing. I would do a full car, better then a wrap if you ask me.

however I would have done a better job prepping, but I think it looks cool.

There's a guy on ModdedMustangs.com who attempted to do it, but eventually gave up because he couldn't get it to lay down even enough for his taste. But luckily he just peeled it right off!

Also a guy who used white plastidip on a black car to paint some stripes, wheels, and interior stripes. He's then putting graffiti on top of the plastidip with a sharpie. It looks pretty sweet and is definitely unique, I just question the durability of it for something he has put so much work into.

if any of you are familiar with the size of 2008 GMC sierra grille, well I had a billet grille, plasti dipped it and have had it on the truck for about 2 months, rain, bugs, dust dirt small rock chips, my preassure washer........ yeah its very durable. however once you get an edge caught or exposed it can start to peel.

i would do it, i am building a turboed s2000 right now, and when its done, i thought about plasti-dipping it flat white and if i like it ill just peel it all off and put the car back to silver.

I don't think I'd do it to an entire car but a grille or wheels would be decent.

Roger I think a can is like 6 bucks or something, I plasti-dipped the rear valence on my old Mazda 3 and it looked good. Only I trouble I had was taking tape off and it would peal a bit. I think thats user error on my part though, I could have done a better job.

This is interesting though. Would be interested in doing my hood, grill, and wheels.

on their website they sell the same setup the guy is using in the video for $265, would be cool to do but i dont know if i would spend that, in the fear of me not liking it, then peeling it off and wasting $265, i would go with the cans, 20 cans for $120, thats a little better

I'm very interested in this and will be looking into it much further as I may offer this type of service for wheels. I get a lot of people asking me to "wrap" their wheels flat black and this would just be amazing.

I have used plastidip to black out emblems / badging and like the end product

Cool idea to do a whole vehicle but I do not think it would come out perfect enough for my taste.

Also how do you keep up a finish like that and how long does it last you. I personally think a wrap will be a better option, yes its much more expensive but it wont start to peel on you if you had it installed correctly. I think this is cool but for use on wheels, emblems and grilles. Unless you have an old beater you want to paint in matte black

How you remove the overspray from all the crevices and jams if you want to remove it?

Stack the over spray as if you wanted to paint those areas too and then simply remove like on headlights?
